Vivekananda College for Women, Kolkata offers numerous infrastructural facilities to its students. VCW, Kolkata has a 2208 sq ft library. VCW, Kolkata Library's collection primarily consists of textbooks and reference books on various subjects. In addition to this, there is a selection of general reference books, including dictionaries, encyclopedias, books for general information, and publications related to various competitive examinations. It contains two air-conditioned reading rooms with a seating capacity of 46. VCW, Kolkata Central Library has around 18,389 books, 88 bound volumes, and 22 periodicals, while the departmental libraries have a total of 8,55223 books. Facilities like the Internet, Reprography, Lending, and OPAC are provided. Apart from the printed resources the library also has a wide collection of online resources such as e-books and e-journals.VCW, Kolkata is subscribed to N-LIST by INFLIBNET which gives authorised people access to vast e-resources.
VCW, Kolkata’s classrooms are well-maintained, spacious, and ventilated for providing a conducive academic environment. Departmental labs are provided with adequate space, all necessary equipment, and current teaching aids including a smart board, camera, and projector. The labs are also provided with extra lab assistants and instructors to give the students an enriching practical class experience.
VCW, Kolkata canteen provides healthy and hygienic food at subsidized rates. VCW, Kolkata canteen is also a place for socialising as students gather there after their classes.
VCW, Kolkata medical unit is furnished and equipped with a stethoscope, a blood pressure monitor, an X-ray viewer, and a weight scale. A licensed physician performs routine medical examinations. Blood pressure and weight are checked regularly. When an emergency arises, basic medical assistance and first aid are always available to students. Students who are experiencing mental stress, depression, or trauma are advised by trained psychologists.
VCW, Kolkata auditorium is small but well equipped with an air-conditioning machine, a proper screen, a sound system, a make-up room, and a toilet facility. It can accommodate hundred and fifty spectators. VCW, Kolkata has 2 seminar rooms that are well arranged with a digital projector, high-end sound system, podium, Dias, and air-conditioners; 1 seminar room has a sitting capacity of hundred people and another one has a sitting capacity of sixty. Salient meetings, conferences, seminars, and other academic events are hosted here. VCW, Kolkata open theatre is used for college functions.
VCW, Kolkata has a small gymnasium where the students who are into physical fitness regularly workout here under the supervision of a lady assistant. The gym is equipped with a twister, an automatic walker machine, and a standing exercise bike. VCW, Kolkata also provides facilities for indoor sports; the indoor games room consists of a table tennis facility, carrom, Chinese checker, ludo, and chess.
