Vivekanand Education Society`s College of Pharmacy, Mumbai (VESCOP Mumbai) affiliated with the University of Mumbai was established in 2007 under the guidance of Shri. B. L. Boolani. VESCOP Mumbai was established with the aim to work closely with industry related to pharmacy and procure to solve problems in the industry which shall help to enhance the healthcare structure of the society.
The infrastructure at VESCOP Mumbai is exquisitely well-furnished with classrooms having ICT [Information and Communication Technology] installed; massive board rooms suitable to conduct conferences; air-conditioned laboratories and Central Instrument Rooms that have expansive space and well-maintained apparatus. There are sports arenas to play games like football, table tennis and carrom. The infrastructure uniquely features an Animal House. VESCOP Mumbai has its own curated Museum inside the campus.
VESCOP Mumbai offers courses from undergraduate to doctoral levels. The B.Pharm [Bachelor of Pharmacy] is a four-year course and the M.Pharm [Master in Pharmacy] is a two-year course that offers specialisations in the branches of Pharmaceutics, Quality Assurance & Pharmaceutical Chemistry. Ph.D. can be pursued in the branches: Pharmaceutics and Pharmaceutical Chemistry. Students at VESCOP Mumbai are trained with practical exposure from the budding pharmaceutical professional and seminars during the entire course. VESCOP Mumbai alumni have secured placements in top-notch companies like Abbott, P&G, Encube, Rubicon Research, TCS, Aditya Birla Group, and many others. Admission in VESCOP Mumbai is done through the Centralised Admission Process [CAP] conducted by the State CET Cell, Maharashtra Cell. The entire process is online, which tentatively starts in the month of September each year for all the courses of different levels.
