Admission Procedure
Visvesvaraya National Institute of Technology, Nagpur runs an admission procedure for the students (co-ed) in courses of Engineering, and Architecture based on the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) via the JoSAA/CSAB portal. Candidates must go to the examination website's official webpage to receive the necessary information and apply. Following their participation, candidates must get the required qualifying marks to meet the VNIT, Nagpur cut-off to register in the appropriate course, followed by the candidates' final admission procedure with the admission fee payment.
VNIT Nagpur offers a two-year M.Tech programme in a variety of engineering specialisations, a two-year M.Sc. programme in physics, chemistry, and mathematics, and a PhD in a variety of engineering or technology, architecture & planning, humanities & social sciences, and basic sciences streams. Candidates must have finished their bachelor's degree in engineering in the relevant discipline from any accredited university or college in order to apply for the m.tech programme. Candidates are selected based on the degree to which they performed on the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) admission exam. Candidates must have earned a bachelor's degree in science from an accredited university or college in order to apply for an M.Sc. programme. Based on a candidate's performance in the Joint Admission Test for Master (JAM), they are chosen for the M.Sc. programme. A Master's or equivalent degree in an equivalent field with a minimum grade point average of 60% is required for admission to the PhD programme. GATE scores are used to determine who gets into the PhD programmes.
