Established in 2002, Vishnu Dental College, Bhimavaram (VDC Bhimavaram) is a constituent unit of the Shri Vishnu Educational Society and a self-financing institute. Recognised by the Dental Council of India (DCI), VDC Bhimavaram is affiliated to the prestigious Dr. NTR University of Health Sciences, Vijayawada.
VDC Bhimavaram offers both undergraduate and postgraduate courses – Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) and Masters of Dental Surgery (MDS) degrees – along with a diploma in Dental Mechanics. Admission to BDS and MDS courses is based on students' NEET scores and subsequent counselling procedure, while admission to the diploma course is done through an online application form. VDC Bhimavaram is renowned for its excellent faculty, who are highly qualified and experienced in their respective fields. Ensuring a conducive learning environment, the faculty also helps students in developing the skills necessary for creating successful careers in the field of dentistry.
VDC Bhimavaram provides state-of-the-art infrastructure, which includes well-equipped laboratories and modern clinical facilities, as well as a well-stocked library with a wide range of dental books, journals and other resources. VDC Bhimavaram also offers a wide range of recreational activities. In addition, VDC Bhimavaram has a cafeteria to provide students with food and refreshments. For medical and health-related issues, there is a hospital and medical facilities on the premises. VDC Bhimavaram also provides Wi-Fi campus and shuttle services, allowing students to stay connected to the internet and commute easily. For hosting conferences and events, VDC Bhimavaram has an auditorium and seminar halls. Furthermore, there is an ATM on the campus for the convenience of students. Admission Procedure
Vishnu Dental College, Bhimavaram offers undergraduate (BDS) and postgraduate (MDS) courses, admissions for which are based upon students' scores in the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET), and the subsequent counselling procedure. VDC Bhimavaram also offers a diploma course in Dental Mechanics, to be eligible for which, students need to ualify their 10+2 level examinations with at least 50% marks in aggregate (45% in case of reserved category students), and with Biology, Physics and Chemistry as subjects. Applications for admission to the Dental Mechanics diploma course can be submitted online via the official website of VDC Bhimavaram.
Faculty
Vishnu Dental College, Bhimavaram has dedicated faculty members who are skilled at teaching both undergraduate and postgraduate students while making effective use of ICT resources. The majority of the faculty is involved in various research activities. The faculty has a number of national and international scientific publications to their name. Few staff members are skilled in cutting-edge practises in the fields of implantology and nanotechnology.
