The VIT Vellore campus is sprawled across a vast area of 372 acres. The campus is laden with smart fully furnished smart classrooms and well-equipped labs, auditoriums, plush open spaces, outdoor stages, a canteen that serves affordable and delicious meals, Wi-Fi across the campus, and much more. The Central Library covers an area of 7770 square meters and has six floors. It has a large collection of books, journals, and other resources in Mathematics and Sciences, Engineering and Technology, Biotechnology, Humanities, Social Sciences, and Management, which includes printed books, e-books, back volumes, CDs and DVDs. The library also has video conferencing facilities as well as NPTEL video courses, ePG-pathshala, Swayam Program, and other E-Learning resources developed by the Government of India. The Central Library uses Koha software for library automation and has RFID technology, WEB-OPAC (Online Public Access Catalog), and access to several other databases. The Vellore campus of VIT has 24 hostels. There are 18 blocks of boys' hostels and the rest are girls' hostels. Every year, the blocks accommodate more than 22,000 residents. The rooms have ergonomically designed furniture such as a cot, chair, study table, study lamp, bookshelf, and cupboard. Additionally, there are shuttle cabs available for students’ transportation. VIT Vellore has a tie-up with Chettinad Hospital & Research Institute (CHRI) which provides round-the-clock primary healthcare services to all students and faculty members.

Admission Procedure
Vellore Institute of Technology offers admission to both undergraduate and postgraduate programs. Candidates can apply for VIT Vellore admission by visiting the official website and completing the application form. A candidate seeking admission for an MBA degree should graduate with 60% and qualified any of the following entrance exams- Common Admission Test (CAT) /Xaverian Aptitude Test (XAT) / Management Aptitude Test (MAT) / Graduate Management Aptitude Test (GMAT) / Common Management Aptitude Test (CMAT)/Agriculture Technology Management Agency (ATMA). The candidate should pass 10+2 or equivalent with 60% marks in Physics, Chemistry, and Biology (PCM) from a recognized board for Integrated courses. Candidates who want to admit to M.tech, and M.sc course must complete their Bachelor's Degree with 60% marks in a relevant subject.
