Veer Surendra Sai University of Technology, Burla is situated on a sprawling campus spanning a total area of 520 acres in Burla, Odisha.
The VSSUT Burla campus houses state-of-the-art facilities and infrastructure to ensure a well-rounded and holistic educational experience for students of the university. VSSUT Burla is a Wi-Fi-enabled campus with 1GBPS internet connectivity offered by BSNL services offering central computing, internet facilities, and wi-fi access in the hostels.
VSSUT Burla houses 70 well-equipped classrooms, 15 tutorial rooms, and 10 smart classrooms equipped with state-of-the-art ICT facilities. The Biju Pattnaik E-learning Centre is situated on campus and has a seating capacity of 300 students. There is also an auditorium on campus with provisions to accommodate up to 1200 people. There are separate departmental buildings on campus for the different academic departments offered by Veer Surendra Sai University of Technology, Burla. The campus houses state-of-the-art laboratory facilities and a well-equipped computer lab. Each department has its labs. A central workshop is present on campus which helps provide practical experience to undergraduate students. The workshops are divided into various sections, some of which include a machine shop, carpentry shop, welding shop, fitting shop, foundry shop, and smithy shop. There is also a central research facility in VSSUT Burla equipped with high-quality equipment such as a scanning electron microscope (SEM), an energy dispersive spectroscopy (EDS) attachment, MATLAB/PSCAD/ETAP, and AUTO – CAD software.
VSSUT, Burla houses a well-stocked library which is equipped with a reading hall having a seating capacity of 100 students. The library is divided into different sections with book bank facilities offering access to 70434 volumes, 10724 titles, 9024 journals, 5000 dissertations and theses. The digital library functions as an online repository offering access to 376 e-books, 7067 e-journals, digital databases, CDs, and video resources. The library also has the KOHA library automation software and plagiarism detection software like Turnitin and URKUND. The VSSUT Burla's campus is residential with 12 fully furnished hostels available for student accommodations. The 12 hostels are divided into six boys’ hostels and six girls’ hostels accommodating more than 4000 students. Hostel rooms are well-furnished with modern toilets, TVs, washing machines, computers, wi-fi access, newspapers, and magazines. Hostel premises also come equipped with a mess facility and indoor and outdoor games infrastructure. The cafeteria prepares hygienic and nutritious multi-cuisine food for students. Sports facilities and infrastructure on campus include a well-maintained 400-metre athletic court, courts for basketball, lawn tennis, volleyball, and badminton, fields for cricket and hockey, and an indoor table tennis table. There is also a state-of-the-art gymnasium with modern facilities like a cycle ergometer, chest press, jogger, leg press machine, and a stepper. The campus also houses a recreation room, a music room equipped with different instruments, and transportation facilities.
