University of Mumbai, Mumbai (MU Mumbai) was formerly known as the University of Bombay and is one of India's oldest and most prestigious educational institutions. It was founded in 1857 as a result of "Wood's Education Dispatch," and it was recognized as one of India's first three universities.

As a result of the city's name change from Bombay to Mumbai, the name of the university has been changed from "University of Bombay" to "University of Mumbai," according to a notification issued by the Maharashtra government and published in the Government Gazette on September 4, 1996.

MU Mumbai seeks to impart quality education based on intrinsic core values of integrity, morality and cultivate an exemplary pedagogy and raise eminent professionals adorning the world tomorrow and thus heighten the status of the institution itself as being exceptionally good. MU Mumbai offers numerous undergraduate and postgraduate, and diploma programs under the faculties of Management, Arts, Commerce, Science, Engineering, Allied Health Sciences and Architecture. The admission is conducted in an online mode based on merit and eligibility criteria.

Admission Procedure

Admission to University of Mumbai, Mumbai takes place following an online procedure. Students who have passed the 10+2 level examination are eligible for admission to the undergraduate and students who completed their gradution courses can eligible for take admission in Post Graduate courses at MU Mumbai. Applications for the same can be submitted via the admissions portal on the official website of the College.
