The Assam Kaziranga University, Jorhat is a private university in Jorhat, Assam. Often called Kaziranga University (KU), they offer a number of undergraduate and postgraduate degrees, as well as diploma courses. These programmes are offered by their six schools, namely Engineering and Technology, Basic Sciences, Business, Health Sciences, Computing Sciences and Social Sciences.

Some of the courses KU Jorhat offer are BBA; B.Com in Accounts and Finance, Marketing and E-commerce and Banking Insurance and Investment; B.Tech with a number of different specialisations like Electronics, Engineering, Electrical, Computer Science and Mechanical Engineering, among others. In addition to the traditional B.A.degrees, KU Jorhat also offer vocational courses like Automobile Servicing and Electrical Systems and Maintenance. The School of Health Sciences offers courses in Optometry, Pharmacy, Physiotherapy, Dialysis and others. KU Jorhat and its courses are approved by the Pharmacy Council of India (PCI) and All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE).

Admission Procedure

The Assam Kaziranga University, Jorhat conducts admissions in three different modes, online, by post or by visiting their office. To apply, students must fill out the form and pay an application fee. Eligibility varies from course to course, however, all applicants must have passed their 10+2 examination from a recognized university. For B.Tech courses, the students must score a qualifying score in Joint Entrance Examination (JEE), Common Entrance Examination (CEE) or KUEST examination. The students are also provided with other courses like BBA, B.Com, B.Voc, BSW, B.Pharm, B.Optom, BA, BPT, and many more with multiple specializations. KU Jorhat also provides postgraduate and Ph.D. ( M.Tech / MSW / MBA / MCA /M.SC ) degree programs in various disciplines. Interested candidates can apply through their official website. To apply for their Ph.D. program candidate must qualify Ph.D. Entrance test (KUEST) conducted by the university, OR UGC-NET (including JRF) / UGC-CSIR NET (including JRF) / ICMR/GATE / GPAT / SLET entrance examination.
