Techno Main Salt Lake (TMSL Kolkata), situated in the heart of Kolkata, laid its foundation stone in 2001 and has now emerged as one of the best hubs of excellence. The All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) has approved TMSL Kolkata, which is affiliated with Maulana Abul Kalam Azad University of Technology (MAKAUT). To make learning more joyful for students, TMSL Kolkata features a diverse group of faculty members who have graduated from prestigious institutions such as IITs, NITs, ISI, Jadavpur University, and IIEST Shibpur.

Techno Main Salt Lake, is a co-ed institution which offers undergraduate courses such as B.Tech in Information Technology, Electrical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electronics and Instrumentation Engineering; B.B.A; B.B.A (Hospital Management); B.H.M; and B.C.A. Students willing to take admission to B.Tech courses have to appear for either JEE Mains or WBJEE. As an eligibility criteria, it is mandatory for students to have valid marks in 10+2 exams from any recognized board. Admission to the BBA, BCA, and BHM courses is based on merit.

The placement cell of TMSL Kolkata also focuses on evaluating students' potential and assisting them in developing their abilities and grooming them to find the perfect job that matches their career aspirations in reputed companies like Microsoft, Google, Paytm, Accenture, Bosch, Honeywell, and Bluestar. Placement drives at the institute observe the highest package of 4 LPA.

With an aim to encourage students, TMSL Kolkata offers a traditional library with a large number of books, magazines, journals as well as a digital library for e-resources; smart air-conditioned classrooms; and on-campus Wi-Fi access. To enhance practical knowledge, students are provided with several well-equipped labs, including a virtual-reality lab and a multimedia lab. Other major facilities provided by the TMSL Kolkata are separate hostel accommodation for boys and girls, seminar halls, indoor and outdoor sports amenities, and a recording room.

Admission Procedure

Under many departments, Techno Main Salt Lake, Kolkata offers a variety of UG and PG programs. Some of the program's admission rules and criteria are according to the guidelines of MAKAUT. The marks obtained in either JEE (Joint Entrance Examination) Mains or WBJEE (West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination) will be used to determine admission to B.Tech. On the basis of marks acquired in 10+2 and WBJEE/JEE Mains, admission is made through a single-window counselling process on campus. Once the cut-off is released, a qualified student can apply online for the preferred course and stream. Admission to the B.B.A, B.C.A, and B.H.M courses is based on merit.

The basic requirement for admission to the M.Tech program is a bachelor's degree in science or technology (B.SC. or B.Tech.) from an accredited university. And the candidate must have to qualify for an entrance examination Graduate Aptitude Test of Engineering ( GATE) Entrance exam. or Post Graduate Entrance Test ( PGET) is conducted by the University. Additionally, Techno offers MBA and MCA Courses. Aspirants for these programs must hold a bachelor's degree or its equivalent from an accredited institution of higher learning. For an MCA degree candidates must have to qualify for an entrance examination (JECA). For an MBA degree candidates must qualify JEMAT/ MAT/ CAT entrance examination.
