Symbiosis Institute of Design, Pune (SID Pune) is one of the prominent design schools in India. Established back in 2004, SID Pune has been educating students to excel in their career fields. SID Pune is approved by the University Grants Commission (UGC). In the year 2006, SID Pune became a constituent of Symbiosis International (Deemed University), Pune.
At present the SID Pune comprises of dedicated industry professionals who engage and nurture students as per the latest industry demands. At present SID Pune offers undergraduate courses in Communication Design, Industrial Design, Fashion Design and Fashion Communication. The admissions to SID Pune are conducted online. Students willing to take admission are required to fill an application form and thereafter sit for the entrance exams to get admitted. The final enrolment list is out strictly on the basis of merit.
SID Pune also provides merit based scholarships.
Well known firms like Infosys, TCS, Autoline Industries Ltd, Cognizant, Whirlpool, Mudra Communications, and others take part in the placement drive of the college. To deliver a unique modern university experience to its students, SID Pune has spacious classrooms, state-of-the-art workshops, laboratories, studios, computer labs and library.
The library of the college consists of more than 13227 volumes of books. Furthermore, facilities for outdoor sports and indoor gymnasium are also present on the campus.
Budget friendly canteen that serves nutritious and scrumptious food to students is a distinct part of the campus. An auditorium and amphitheater to hold different events are accessible to the students here. Additionally, the SID Pune campus also features a health center and an ATM.

Admission Procedure
Symbiosis Institute of Design, Pune conducts an admissions process for both male and female candidates (co-ed) in undergraduate design programmes. Candidates must fill out an application form with a fee payment and take the online entrance exam i.e. Symbiosis Entrance Exam for Design (SEED) in order to enroll in the courses. Following the SEED exam, the names of the qualified candidates will be published on the official website in a shortlist based on the exam. These candidates will be qualified to enroll in the Portfolio Review and Personal Interaction (PRPI) rounds. PRPI task, will be administered 3 days before the PRPI date. Candidates must complete the task and participate in the PRPI online session. The ultimate admissions procedure will be based on the aggregate of the SEED result, Portfolio Review, PRPI Task, Personal Interaction and information provided in the application form and the chosen course.

The faculty team of Symbiosis Institute of Design, Pune is made up of dedicated professionals who are engaged in providing students the knowledge and information-based curriculum in design and related fields after conducting an extensive study on the subjects. Faculty members provide thorough guidance and assistance to students in achieving their future aspirations.
Placements
Symbiosis Institute of Design, Pune has a Placement Cell that acts as a liaison between the industry and the students. This cell arranges for pre-placement as well as placement and internship works for the eligible students. Students have been placed in organisations such as Infosys, TCS, Autoline Industries Ltd, Cognizant, Whirlpool, Mudra Communications, and others due to the SID's efforts. Small and medium-sized businesses such as Elephant Design, Fitch Design, Onio Design, Leaf Design, and a number of other design firms have also taken on students.
