St. Xavier’s College, Mumbai (SXC Mumbai) is one of the oldest and top private institutions in India. Run by the Bombay Province of the Society of Jesus in Mumbai, Maharashtra, India, it was established in 1869 and affiliated with the University of Mumbai. It has been approved by the UGC.

SXC Mumbai has established a Personal Counseling Cell run by a staff-student community that organizes personality evaluation tests for self-improvement, vocational testing, campus fairs, interviews, industrial training and much more. The cell ensures that the maximum number of students get employed every year and has built a strong network with industries and organizations within and beyond India. Top recruiters include DE Shaw, JP Morgan, KPMG, Deloitte, PwC, BYJU’s and more. The library contains a large collection of books that includes textbooks and reference works. It also offers print and electronic resources and databases such as OPAC. They also have an Institutional Repository by digitizing rare books and college publications. The campus has both indoor and outdoor games facilities and encourages students to participate in national and state level tournaments. The campus also has department-specific labs, doctor-on-call, infirmary, and other medical facilities, smart classrooms, auditoriums for various functions. They have a hostel facility for only boys with double and triple seater rooms accompanied by a mess facility that provides timely meals.

Admission Procedure
The St. Xavier's College, Mumbai admissions are conducted online. Also, it is mandatory that the candidate has to qualify for the entrance test conducted by the SXC Mumbai authority. To apply for their undergraduate degrees, candidates must meet all the required eligibility requirements of the course for which they candidate is applying. The candidate has to go through the online admission portal on the website where they have to register themselves, fill out the application form for the entrance test, and have to submit it there as a part of the application process. Admission to any course depends on the merit secured in the entrance test. Apart from that, all students need to pass their 10+2 school leaving test from a recognized board of secondary education. SXC Mumbai is a co-ed college, therefore anybody of any gender can apply for the courses in this college.
SXC Mumbai also provides postgraduate degrees ( M.A / M.SC) and Ph.D. degrees with various specializations. To apply to their PG program candidate must qualify Xavier Eligibility Test. For a Ph.D. degree, the candidate must qualify CSIR/UGC-NET/SLET/PET entrance examination.
