St. Xavier's College (SXCA), Asansol is a private general-degree college affiliated with the Kazi Nazrul University, Asansol. SXC, Asansol is a West Bengal Higher Education-approved institution. St. Xavier's College, Asansol was established in 2015 and traces back to the arrival of the Jesuit Fathers at Asansol in 1870 who establish educational institutions to uplift the city’s people through higher education in English.

Admission to honors courses at St. Xavier's College, Asansol is only based on merit after counseling, exceptions may be made for christians.
The college will produce a merit list based on the combined Heigher Secondary (10 + 2) exam scores: the best of five disciplines, with English being required, but without Physical Education or Environmental Studies. Depending on demand and the general performance of higher secondary exams, the requirements or the cut off marks / percentage will change from year to year.
