St. Teresa's College, Ernakulum (STCE), was established in 1925 as the first women’s college in erstwhile Cochin state and second in Kerala, by the Congregation of the Carmelite Sisters of St. Teresa. St. Teresa's College envisions a life-oriented education that empowers women to be agents of transformation and development at various stages of life through a humanising and liberative process. Recognised by the University Grants Commission, STC Ernakulam is affiliated to Mahatma Gandhi University, Kottayam.

Students can pursue 24 undergraduate (UG), 23 postgraduate (PG), 5 diploma (DIP), and 3 postgraduate diploma (PG DIP) courses at STC Ernakulam. The UG courses are for the degrees of Bachelor of Arts (B.A), Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com), Bachelor of Science (B.Sc), Bachelor of Computer Applications (BCA), Bachelor of Management Studies (BMS), and Bachelor of Vocation (B.Voc). The PG courses at STC Ernakulam offer the degrees Master of Arts (M.A), Master of Commerce (M.Com), Master of Commerce and Management (MCM), Master of Science (M.Sc), Master in Fashion Designing, Master in Clinical Nutrition and Dietetics, Master of Tourism and Travel Management, and Master of Vocation (M.Voc). Admissions to all the courses take place online through the official website of STC Ernakulam. Regular classes at STC Ernakulam are conducted in spacious classrooms, while practical sessions take place in course-specific specialised cutting-edge laboratories, including an English Language Lab. Admission Procedure

The admission process at St. Teresa's College (Autonomous), Ernakulam (STCE) is conducted online. At STCE, the application process is completed online. Candidates must pass the HSC (10+2) exam from a recognized board or its equivalent in the respective stream for admission to the undergraduate program at STC. Candidates for PG admission in STCE must pass the equivalent Degree Examination under the 10 + 2 + 3 pattern with one main subject and two complementary subjects from any of the universities in Kerala or any other university recognized by Mahatma Gandhi University. Candidates who have passed the Degree Examination in vocational or specialized programs, as well as candidates who have passed the Degree Examination with double or triple main subjects, are also eligible for admission.
