St. Joseph's College, Bangalore (SJC Bangalore) is a private multi-disciplinary institute run by the Karnataka Province of the Society of Jesus. Located in Bangalore, Karnataka and established in 1882, SJC Bangalore is one of the oldest colleges in India. SJC Bangalore has been UGC-approved.

SJC Bangalore offers undergraduate degrees across 7 departments of Humanities, Physical Science, Natural Science, Information Technology, Communication and Media, Social Work, Commerce, and Business in courses such as Psychology, Journalism, Public Policy, History, Computer Science, Economics, Botany and many more.

Admission to SJC Bangalore is conducted online. The students are required to qualify for the entrance test for B.Voc, BCA and B.A Visual Communication set by SJC Bangalore. Thereafter, all admissions are decided on the basis of academic merit. In order to be eligible for admission, applicants must have successfully completed a 10+2 or equivalent examination from a recognised board.

SJC Bangalore is located at Lalbagh road, a well-connected spot in Bengaluru. Students have access to a well-rounded library which consists of a wide range of books, journals, articles as well as computers and databases. This space is open for teachers and students to conduct research and work on projects. SJC Bangalore houses several course-specific laboratories for science as well as equipped rooms for Visual communication, Film editing, and Animation for both video editing and sound design. They have facilities for both indoor and outdoor activities such as basketball, badminton, and football courts wherein inter-class and inter-collegiate tournaments are held. There is a well-equipped gym for the physical training of students, a cafeteria that serves affordable and delicious meals, first-aid facilities, an infirmary, smart classrooms, and the entire campus is Wi-Fi enabled.There are separate hostels for boys and girls. Boarding facilities for 150 boys are available on campus and at Ejipura. Sneha Nilaya, managed by Franciscan Sisters of the Immaculate, has established a hostel for girls.

Admission Procedure

St. Joseph's College, Bangalore conducts an online admission procedure for the students. Students (co-ed) are required to qualify for the SJC, Bangalore entrance test for B.Voc, BCA and B.A Visual Communication. The final admissions are provided on the basis of the merits. It is mandatory for the students to pass their Higher Secondary Examinations with qualifying marks apply in any courses of B.A, B.Sc, B.Com, BBA with multiple specializations along with BSW, BCA. The students must visit the SJC, Bangalore's website for admission-related queries.

SJC Bangalore also provides postgraduate degrees ( MA / M.SC / MSW ) in various disciplines. To apply for their degree candidates must qualify for basic admission criteria. For the PG program candidates must qualify for an entrance examination conducted by the institute.
