St. Dominic's College, Kanjirapally (SDC Kanjirapally) was founded in 1965 and is currently run by the Catholic St. Dominic's Forane Church in Kanjirappally. SDC Kanjirapally was established to meet the higher education needs of the parish in particular as well as the eastern regions of the Archdiocese of Changnacherry in general.
SDC Kanjirapally is committed to educating everyone who enters its doors seeking higher education, regardless of caste, creed, or community, and includes in its purview the academic aspirations of all segments of the local population. SDC Kanjirapally is concerned with the intellectual, cultural, and moral growth of these educationally and economically poor areas, which include the eastern parts of the Kottayam District and the hill tracts of the Pathanamthitta and Idukki districts.
In keeping with the proverb that "Fear of God is the beginning of wisdom," SDC Kanjirapally strives to inculcate in its students a sense of trust in God and faith in moral and spiritual principles. Along with academic success, it seeks to promote the highest Christian beliefs.
SDC Kanjirapally is affiliated with Mahatma Gandhi University in Kottayam and is sanctioned by the University Grants Commission. SDC Kanjirapally offers self-finance B.Com, MA, and Ph.D. degrees. The application form can be found on the college’s website.
SDC Kanjirapally has a dedicated and trained faculty. The goal of the faculty is to prepare the students for the future by forming their personalities, enhancing their character, establishing a feeling of responsibility in them, and maximizing their potential.
The library of SDC Kanjirapally is a fully automated state-of-the-art library that has adequate holdings in terms of books, journals, other learning materials, and ICT facilities which enable our users to gather knowledge, information, and the abilities required for learning. It is crucial in assisting the institution's academic endeavors. The library is spread over 4000 sq. ft and has a seating capacity of 100 users. The other infrastructure includes a computer lab, facilities for physically challenged students, basketball courts, a girls' hostel, a chapel, a seminar hall, etc.
The Career Guidance and Placement Cell was established in SDC Kanjirapally with the goal of offering essential life skills and assisting students in finding employment. The cell plans numerous college programs to assist students in developing both their academic and extracurricular skills. Students participate in the cell's activities beginning with their first academic year. The cell implements several initiatives to meet the demands of the current labor market, including skill profiling for individuals, orientation and guidance, motivational talks, soft skill and communicative skill training, leadership skill training, seminar organization, mock interview support, and online course registration.

Each candidate must fill in the designated field on the application form with the register number they received while registering on the Mahatma Gandhi University's admissions site.
