Applicants applying for UG courses to SSNCE, Chennai must have passed Higher Secondary examination with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics (PCM) combination.

SSNCE, Chennai offers Merit Scholarships to all UG and PG students based on their academic performance at the qualifying examinations. "Walk In- Walk Out Scholarships", are awarded to BE and BTech students. "Merit cum Means scholarships" and Sports Scholarships are offered to eligible students.
