Sri Sarada College for Women, Salem (SSCW Salem) was established in 1961 and currently is affiliated with Periyar university. It is an autonomous institution, the status was granted by the University Grants Commission [UGC]. SSCW Salem provides a remarkable learning experience for its students not only in terms of regular pedagogic methods but also indulging extra efforts for students of special needs like slow learners. SSCW Salem puts continuous efforts to enhance curricular, co-curricular, and extra-curricular activities coupled with the professional growth of the faculty members and the students.

SSCW Salem has Library loaded with a unique collection of books on different topics along with the added facility of online database services. It is a completely Wi-Fi-enabled campus. A.], Bachelor of Science [B. Sc.], Master of Science [B. Sc.], Bachelor of Commerce [B. Com], Master of Philosophy [M. Phil], Master of Commerce [M. Com] and Doctor of Philosophy [Ph. D.] degrees are subjected to different streams of courses.

Sri Sarada College for Women, Salem confers an avid range of subjects in the following subjects: Tamil, English, History, Economics, Physics, Chemistry, Botany, Mathematics, Computer Science, Zoology, Home Science, Data Science, and Commerce. Such subjects can be pursued through undergraduate programs with Bachelor of Arts [B.A.], Bachelor of Science [B. Sc.], and Bachelor of Commerce [B. Com] degrees; postgraduate programs with Master of Arts [M. A.], Master of Science [B. Sc.], and Master of Commerce [M. Com] degrees; and research-based programs like Master of Philosophy [M. Phil] and Doctor of Philosophy [Ph. D.] degrees.

The eligibility criteria to enroll in any of the aforementioned disciplines of studies is the applicants should complete their education to +2 level and have studied the relevant subjects they intend to study at their undergraduate level. The aspiring students of the master’s programs at SSCW Salem should obtain their Bachelor’s degree, and to pursue research through M. Phil or Ph.
