Established in 1986, Sri Devraj Urs Academy of Higher Education and Research, Kolar (SDUAHER Kolar), was set up by the Sri Devaraj Urs Educational Trust for Backward Classes in order to provide accessible, quality education to students from all backgrounds. Recognised by the University Grants Commission (UGC), SDUAHER Kolar has since become a Deemed-to-be-University in 2007.
SDUAHER Kolar offers a wide range of courses at both the undergraduate and postgraduate levels. These include Bachelor of Science (BSc) and Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) courses at the undergraduate level and Master of Science (MSc), Doctor of Medicine (MD) and Master of Surgery (MS) courses at the postgraduate level. Additionally, SDUAHER Kolar also offers doctoral Ph.D. courses for students wishing to pursue advanced studies.
SDUAHER Kolar is further approved by the Medical Council of India (MCI) and the National Medical Commission (NMC).
SDUAHER Kolar is also proud to boast a highly qualified faculty, with many of its staff having extensive experience in their field of study.
SDUAHER Kolar has well-equipped infrastructural facilities that include traditional and digital library, hostels, sports facilities, labs, cafeteria, medical facilities, Wi-Fi campus, classrooms, auditorium, and seminar halls. All of these are designed to provide students with the resources and support they need to succeed in their studies.

Admission Procedure
The Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS), Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India, conducts admissions to the Under Graduate (MBBS) Programme at Sri Devraj Urs Academy of Higher Education and Research, Kolar. Students need to pass their 10+2 level examinations or equivalent with Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English as subjects, in order to be eligible for admission at SDUAHER Kolar. For admission to the undergraduate medical course, students need to qualify the National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test (NEET) while for admission to the postgraduate medical courses (MD, MS, Ph.D), students need to qualify the Post Graduate National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test (PG NEET).
