The 50-acre Sri Chandrasekharendra Saraswathi Vishwa Mahavidyalaya, Kancheepuram was created under the auspices of the Sri Kanchi Kamakoti Peetam Charitable Trust and is located near Mathur, about 4 kilometers from Kanchipuram. SCSVM Kancheepuram extends academic backup to provide all required infrastructures with flexible administrative assistance.
Sri Chandrasekharendra Saraswathi International Library of SCSVM Kancheepuram was established in 1995 and is housed in Sri Jayendra Saraswathi Diamond Jubilee Mahal. The library, which spans a 4640 square meter area and offers roomy quarters on three floors, is the perfect setting for contemplation and research. Through lending, the library is a key component of aiding teaching, learning, and research. Reference and inquiry services are available for over 163933 books, current periodicals, and a growing selection of electronic services, including more than 3000 CD ROMS. The library also subscribes to more than 224 specialized national and international magazines.
SCSVM Kancheepuram has resources to encourage students' participation in sports and recreation. Sports facilities include Volleyball Court, Cricket Pitch, Athletics Track, Basketball Court, Kabaddi Court, Football Ground, Weight Lifting Set, and indoor games. There is a separate gym for boys and girls.
The other infrastructure includes classrooms with LCD projectors and audio systems, an auditorium with air conditioning, seminar halls, a large cafeteria, a medical center, well-furnished separate hostels for boys and girls, labs with cutting-edge machinery and tools, a student community center, a bank, an ATM, and a bus facility. WiFi is available across the campus.
