Sree Kerala Varma College, Thrissur (SKVC, Thrissur) is one of the oldest institutions in Kerala that was first proposed by a committee of common people of a very underprivileged area in Kerala, Thrissur. After the independence of India in 1947 the need for an educational institution to serve especially the regional people in Kerala the proposal of SKVC, Thrissur was hatched. It was when the Maharaja of Cochin, Sri Kerala Verma took the initiative of economically helping the plan to get successfully executed by lending land and sufficient rupees. As a remembrance of his generosity, and the foundation stone of the college grounded on his benevolent contribution, the institution was named after him. The campus of SKVC, Thrissur inherits age-old significance and currently administrative and academic buildings.
SKVC, Thrissur offers a range of liberal arts, commerce, and science programs. SKVC, Thrissur is affiliated with Calicut University and all of the courses are approved by AICTE (All India Council of Technical Education). SKVC, Thrissur extends a remarkable platform for everyone irrespective of their caste, creed, and financial inadequacy. All necessary certificates and documents should be enclosed with true copies and have been attested. Aspirants must have completed their 10+2 from a recognized board for an undergraduate degree. For PG admission, candidates must graduate from a recognized university.
