Sir Padampat Singhania University, Udaipur (SPSU Udaipur) was established by the State Government of Rajasthan through the Sir Padampat Singhania University, Udaipur Act of 2008. SPSU Udaipur has been granted the authority to confer degrees as per the UGC Act of 1956, Section 22. Following an inspection by UGC to ensure compliance with minimum standards, SPSU Udaipur was duly recognized under Section 2(f) of the aforementioned Act. Since July 2013, SPSU Udaipur has been a member of the Association of Indian Universities (AIU).
