Silicon Institute of Technology (SIT), Sambalpur is a private autonomous engineering institute affiliated with the Biju Patnaik University of Technology (BPUT), Odisha. SIT Sambalpur was instituted in 2010 by the non-profit-making trust Samaleswari Education Trust and is managed by the same. SIT, Sambalpur is a sister college of the Silicon Institute of Technology, Bhubaneswar. The institute is headed by chairman Er. N.C Dhall and director Dr. R.K.Pattnaik.

SIT, Sambalpur is situated on a sprawling 37-acre campus on the outskirts of Sambalpur, Odisha. The campus is well-equipped with state-of-the-art academic and extra-curricular facilities which include spacious classrooms, lecture galleries with a seating capacity of 150 students, a library and a reading room with separate cubicles and a book bank facility, state-of-the-art laboratories, an air-conditioned auditorium, sports infrastructure, cafeterias, and hostel accommodation for boys and girls. Silicon Institute of Technology, Sambalpur offers B.Tech. degrees across five specializations. There are a total of six departments in SIT, Sambalpur Computer Science and Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, and Basic Sciences and Humanities. Candidates seeking admission into SIT, Sambalpur must meet the institute’s eligibility criteria and appear for the JEE Main entrance exam and secure a valid score/rank. Final admissions will be based on the candidate’s JEE Main performance followed by the Odisha Joint Entrance Examination (OJEE) e-counselling process. Admission Procedure

Silicon Institute of Technology, Sambalpur (co-ed) offers B.Tech degrees in five specializations. Admissions are open to all students who have completed 10+2 or equivalent with Physics and Mathematics as mandatory subjects and Computer Science/ IT/ Chemistry/ Biochemistry/ Biology as one of the optional subjects from a recognised Indian Board. The final selection would be based on the Joint Entrance Examinations (JEE) Main scores, followed by the Odisha Joint Entrance Examination (OJEE) e-counselling process. Scholarships

There are at least 14 distinct schemes (state-specific or all-state) through which a student might receive a scholarship. Furthermore, toppers from each branch are awarded a scholarship of 12,000 each year by the Silicon Institute of Technology, Sambalpur if they match the Silicon Scholars Club requirements. Students must submit supporting documentation in accordance with the rules of the various schemes. The scholarship application is then immediately processed by Silicon West's Nodal Officer.
