Sikkim Manipal College of Physiotherapy, Gangtok (SMCPT) established in 2001, is a constituent college of Sikkim Manipal University. Indian Association of Physiotherapists (IAP) has duly accredited both the courses of SMCPT, Gangtok. The clinical department of Physiotherapy is affiliated with Sikkim Manipal University’s teaching hospital, Central Referral Hospital.
SMCPT, Gangtok aims at becoming the leader in physiotherapy education. SMCPT, Gangtok offers two courses- Bachelor of Physiotherapy and Master of Physiotherapy. For admissions, at SMCPT, Gangtok candidates can apply from the university’s official website. Selection for the course will be made based on the eligibility criteria. For admission to BPT, candidates must graduate 10+2 with a minimum of 60% in Physics, Chemistry, and Biology along with a minimum of 50% in the English Language. For the MPT course, a candidate should have a graduation degree with a minimum of 55% in Physiotherapy. Candidates doing BPT internships are also eligible to apply. SMCPT, Gangtok believes in the overall development of its students in academics and personality, it strives to provide its students with the best faculty support.
