Shrimathi Devkunvar Nanalal Bhatt Vaishnav College for Women, Chennai (SDNBVCW Chennai), was established in 1968 and is the first women’s college in the Kancheepuram District of Tamil Nadu. Recognised by the University Grants Commission (UGC) and affiliated to the University of Madras, SDNBVCW Chennai offers 25 undergraduate (UG) and 17 postgraduate (PG) courses for students to pursue.
The UG courses are for the degrees of Bachelor of Arts (B.A), Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com), Bachelor of Commerce with Honours (B.Com(Hons)), Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA), Bachelor of Computer Applications (BCA), Bachelor of Science (B.Sc), and Bachelor of Vocation (B.Voc); while the PG courses are for Master of Arts (M.A), Master of Commerce (M.Com), Master of Science (M.Sc), and Master of Social Work (MSW).
