Admission Procedure

Admission to undergraduate Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.) courses in Civil Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering, Computer Science and Engineering, Information Science and Engineering, and Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning at Shri Dharmasthala Manjunatheshwara College of Engineering and Technology, Dharwad (SDMCET Dharwad) are done through the Common Entrance Test (CET), and Consortium of Medical, Engineering and Dental Colleges of Karnataka Under Graduate Entrance Test (COMEDK). The students should clear 10+2 level of education or equivalent with Physics, Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with Chemistry or Biotechnology or Biology or Computer science or Electronics with a minimum of 45% marks taken together in Physics, Mathematics and any one of the optional subjects. For postgraduate Master of Technology (M.Tech) courses in Computer Science and Engineering, Digital Electronics, Power System Engineering, etc and Master of Business Administration [MBA], admission is done through the Post Graduate Common Entrance Test (PGCET) conducted by the Karnataka Examination Authority (KEA) or through GATE scores. The students should achieve 50% of aggregate minimum marks taken together in all the subjects for all the years of the Degree examination.
