The Shreemati Jamnabai H. Wadhwa College of Technology and Kothari College of Management Studies, Mumbai are two of the colleges housed in the Amar Shaheed Hemu Kalani Memorial building. An institution that admits only women candidates, it is one of the top women’s colleges in Chembur, Mumbai.
The SJHWCT and KCMS Mumbai were set up with a vision to empower women and provide them opportunities to get a high quality education. Both colleges are affiliated to the Smt. Nathibai Damodar Thackersey Women's University and are recognised by the University Grants Commission (UGC). At the undergraduate level, each of the colleges offers a bachelors course each. These are Bachelor of Computer Application (BCA) and Bachelor of Management Studies (BMS). Both courses are 3 years in duration and are taught by a group of highly qualified and humble professors. Whether in class or outside, they are approachable and committed to the goal of women empowerment.
SJHWCT and KCMS Mumbai conduct their admissions offline. Candidates who meet the admission criteria must fill out the admission forms procured from the college and submit the filled out form along with the requisite attested documents at the college counter.
Scholarships and instalment facilities are available for meritorious students from economically weaker backgrounds.
In a move to assist their students with the next step in their careers, the SJHWCT and KCMS Mumbai organise placement drives every year. Their students have a good reputation in the professional world and they have a 100% placement record. Students get placed in companies like Infosys, Axis Bank, Policy Boss, ICICI Bank, HDFC Securities and Motiwal Oswal Investment Services among others.
Speaking about infrastructure, the SJHWCT and KCMS Mumbai has very good library facilities to support the students’ learning journey. The libraries give them access to print and digital resources. They have a variety of classrooms and smart classrooms for conducting classes. The campus also houses well-equipped computer labs, an auditorium, and a common room.

Shreemati Jamnabai H. Wadhwa College of Technology and Kothari College of Management Studies, Mumbai’s admissions are conducted through an offline application process. To apply for their undergraduate degrees, candidates must meet all the required eligibility requirements of the course in which the candidate is applying for. The candidate has to obtain the Application form along with the prospectus from A. S. Hemu Kalani Yadgar Mandal (ASHKYM)’s office on payment of cash. Students have to submit the application form there for the course in which the candidate is applying for. But, Apart from that, all students need to pass their 10+2 school leaving test from a recognised board of secondary education.This is a Girl's College, therefore only females can apply for the courses in this college.
