There is a well-stocked library at SAJC, Kolkata which is equipped with a spacious reading room and a magazine corner under the charge of experienced librarians. Books of the SAJC, Kolkata library are classified and catalogued by the Dewey Decimal System and the Card Index Procedure respectively. The library houses a variety of periodicals, Indian and international journals, and periodicals covering both general and specialised interests available to students and teachers. Students are permitted to borrow one book at a time (honours students can borrow two) for a period of a fortnight using their borrower’s card. Failure to return borrowed books within the stipulated time will result in a fine of Rs. 2 for every delayed date and no further issue of books without the Principal’s permission. Students may borrow magazines and books using their reference cards within the premises of the reading room. Lost or damaged books must be replaced at the damager’s cost. There are also respective departmental libraries in SAJC, Kolkata which house a vast collection of department-specific books and resources.
SAJC, Kolkata's sports and games department has acquired a high level of eminence due to the relentless efforts of its student body and the incredibly active department staff. SAJC, Kolkata has two large common rooms, one each for males and females, located on the building's first level. The common rooms provide space for indoor activities including table tennis, carrom, and chess. The canteen is the centre of lively activities for the young people of the college. All three shifts of SAJC, Kolkata's students have access to its amenities. The canteen remains open all day till late at night and is known for delectable food at affordable prices.
