Seacom Engineering College (SEC), Howrah was established in 2006 at Sankrail, off National Highway 6. The aim of SEC, Howrah is to improve the quality of individual and societal life through high-quality education that incorporates employable skills. Education is pursued by SEC, Howrah with absolute respect for the interdependence and integration of knowledge and skills at all engagement levels. SEC, Howrah is approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) and the Directorate General of Shipping, Government of India.

SEC, Howrah offers 7 undergraduate (UG) and 7 postgraduate (PG) courses, being affiliated to the Maulana Abul Kalam Azad University of Technology (MAKAUT). The UG courses offered at SEC, Howrah are Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech) in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Computer Science and Engineering, Information Technology, Electronics and Communication Engineering, and Marine Engineering. The PG courses that students can pursue at SEC, Howrah are Master of Computer Application (MCA), and Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Human Resources, Systems Management, Finance, Marketing, Shipping Management, and Port and Logistic Management. Students need to qualify the 10+2 examination and obtain a valid rank in JEE Main or WBJEE to be eligible for the aforementioned courses. Classes are conducted by experienced faculty who work tirelessly to make students industry ready.

SEC, Howrah collaborates with reputed organisations and conducts recruitment drives, inviting companies such as ITC Ltd., IBM, Infosys, Aditya Birla Group, etc. 

SEC, Howrah has all the necessary infrastructure on the sprawling 11-acre campus to ensure the all-round development of the students. SEC, Howrah Library has over 42000 books and bound volumes of journals, newspapers, dissertations, etc. The digital section of the library provides members access to 423456 e-books and 4 e-journals, along with other audio-visual materials. Encouraging an active lifestyle among the students, SEC, Howrah has provisions for sporting activities such as football and basketball. Regular classes at SEC, Howrah are conducted in spacious classrooms while practical sessions take place in course-specific specialised cutting-edge laboratories.

The Seacom Engineering College (SEC), Howrah Campus is fully Wi-Fi enabled and has a cafeteria, seminar halls and medical facilities within. SEC, Howrah also has an ambulance facility and also provides shuttle services for the students to avail.

Admission Procedure

Eligible candidates who have passed their 10+2 examinations and have secured a valid rank in Joint Entrance Examination Main (JEE Main) or West Bengal Joint Entrance Examinations (WBJEE) can opt for B.Tech courses in Seacom Engineering College, Howrah during the counseling process. The shortlisted students must then visit the college with the required documents and confirm their seats.
