Legends like: Swami Vivekananda, Netaji Subhas Chandra are few of the notable alumni of SCC Kolkata. The prestigious institute is affiliated to the University of Calcutta. The final admission to Scottish Church College, Kolkata is granted strictly on the basis of merit depending upon the candidate’s recent qualifying results. Scholarships are even provided to deserving students. The placement cell of SCC Kolkata nurtures a platform for students to develop and showcase their skill sets. The students are also sent to pooled campus drives of different colleges to seek placement. To assist the students get all sorts of authentic information SCC Kolkata provides for a well-stocked automated library consisting over 1,18,000 books and journals. This library utilises the LIBSYS software to automate its experience. Different course-specific laboratories to deliver unique undergraduate experience is also a part of the college.
Over 10 smart classrooms along with digital boards are present in SCC Kolkata for students to find interest in the information being delivered. Wi-Fi facilities are also available for the students to avail. 5 different hostels are managed by the college that are well equipped with all the basic amenities. A playing field that accommodates the facilities of different spots like: football, cricket, badminton, hockey, basketball, and volleyball is accessible by the students. Two canteens that provide budget-friendly, quality and affordable food to the students are a part of the campus. To help students uplift their cognitive performance levels a well equipped gym is provided by SCC Kolkata. The huge campus of SCC Kolkata even features an auditorium for holding different academic and cultural programs. Emergency medical services are provided to the students and staff by the campus team as and when required.

Admission Procedure
The Scottish Church College, Kolkata provides a variety of undergraduate and graduate programmes. Admission to undergraduate courses is based on merit in the most recent qualifying exam and is done online for all courses. Except for the B.Ed course, which is only for women, all courses are open to both men and women students. Admission will be granted strictly in accordance with the Admission Committee's guidelines.
SCC Kolkata also offers a postgraduate degree in M.Sc with a specialisation in Botany and chemistry and B.Ed courses. A candidate seeking admission must hold a bachelor's degree/ Master's degree with at least 50% marks in aggregate or equivalent from a recognized university.

The Scottish Church College, Kolkata is committed to taking the initiative to provide students with a high-quality education. Keeping up with the changing educational landscape, SCC Kolkata has implemented several initiatives to continuously upgrade faculty members through various Faculty Development initiatives (funded by the College and UBCHEA). This is a continuous effort on the part of the college.
Placements
The Scottish Church College, Kolkata's Placement Cell creates a platform for final-year students to showcase their skills and talent, which various companies seek to explore. Companies are initially invited to participate in the campus recruitment drive. Students who are interested in participating in the campus drive register with the placement cell. Students are also sent to pooled campus drives at other colleges. Many students are chosen by various companies and begin working immediately after graduation. Aside from that, the Placement Cell regularly organizes seminars/workshops/grooming sessions for students to help them improve their skills and become more industry-ready.
Scholarships
The Scottish Church College, Kolkata provides scholarships to its students based on the required criteria. Some of them are the "Stephenson Nirmalendu Ghosh Scholarship", two Scholarships offered by AIACHE for Leadership, three Scholarships for Dalit Christians offered by AIACHE, and "Prasanna Kumar and Pankaj Nalini Dutta Memorial Scholarship" for securing the highest marks in Part I B.Sc Hons exam.
