Saveetha School of Law, Chennai (SSL Chennai), was founded in 2009 with the objective of pursuing high standards of legal training and research. SSL, Chennai strives to become one of the finest institutions in the field of legal education thanks to its academic autonomy and flexibility for innovative teaching in pursuit of excellence. Approved by the University Grants Commission (UGC) and recognised by the Bar Council of India (BCI), SSL, Chennai is affiliated to SIMATS (Deemed University).

Students can pursue 3 integrated undergraduate (UG) and 2 postgraduate (PG) courses at SSL, Chennai. The UG courses that are offered are Bachelor of Arts+Bachelor of Legislative Law (BA+LL.B, integrated), Bachelor of Business Administration+Bachelor of Legislative Law (BBA+LL.B, integrated), and Bachelor of Commerce+Bachelor of Legislative Law (B.Com+LL.B, integrated); while the PG courses are for Master of Legislative Law (LL.M) and Master of Legislative Law+Doctor of Philosophy (LL.M+PhD, integrated). Admission Procedure

The Saveetha School of Law in Chennai has an offline admissions process. Candidates applying for SSL, Chennai must have taken the higher secondary exam (10+2) or a test that is an equivalent, and they must have received more than 60% of the possible points. The selection of candidates is based on the results of the Saveetha Entrance Examination (SEE) / Common law Admission Test (CLAT) / Law School Admission Test (LSAT), the interview, and the group discussion held by SSL, Chennai. Candidates must be under 20 years of age and in good health to enrol in the programme.
