Admission to SIMATS is based on academic merits. However, candidates do need to qualify for the following examinations to be eligible for admission which is as follows JEE, NEET and CLAT.
The Training and Placement Cell of the SIMATS is impeccable in providing training, industrial exposure, mock interviews and pre-placement training. Companies like Tata Consultancy Services, Accenture, Capgemini and a few other companies take an active part in the placement drive conducted by the Training and Placement Cell of SIMTS.
The academic facilities include fifty-four libraries with a large collection of resources which covers a wide range of subjects. The libraries are fully furnished with maximum seating capacities. The library is open to all and has digital facilities as well, separate hostels for boys and girls, and two hundred and twenty-six labs at SIMATS. The labs are updated with the latest pieces of equipment and devices. Each department has a separate lab and these laboratories are open to all the students and the faculty members alike. The laboratories are used for multiple research purposes. These facilitate interactive learning amongst the students and help in the improvement of their practical skills of the students. The computer labs have over two thousand computers and all the students and faculty members are encouraged to use them. The classrooms are fully furnished with smartboards, projectors, microphones, speakers and other interactive teaching and learning devices. There are eleven auditoriums in total. The auditoriums are equipped with updated audio and visual settings. Multiple events are organised in these auditoriums. These auditoriums have a large seating capacity and are air-conditioned. All the classrooms are air-conditioned. The campus of SIMATS has high-speed internet facilities for students. The moot court situated in SIMATS helps the students to engage in discussions with other members of the faculty and students alike. The students gain practical and in-person feedback from the members. The moot courts help the students to broaden their knowledge.
SIMATS has multiple playgrounds and fields for the students. The campus supports and encourages its students to engage in various sporting events. There are fields for football, hockey, cricket and courts for tennis, volleyball and many more. Additionally, there also is a swimming pool at the university. A spacious cafeteria with comfortable seating arrangements. The canteen aims to serve affordable and nutritious meals. SIMATS canteen focuses on hygiene and sanitation. Along with 24*7 medical services, SIMTS also provides bus transportation services to students. These are the non-academic facilities that SIMATS provides to students.

Admission Procedure
Saveetha Institute of Medical and Technical Sciences conducts an online admission procedure. The students (co-ed) are required to qualify for National Eligibility Entrance Test (NEET), Common Law Admission Tes (CLAT) and Joint Entrance Examination Main (JEE-MAIN) as made mandatory for the specific programs after the completion of 10+2 level with qualifying marks. The students are required to visit the website for checking the merit list which would be published with the names of the selected candidates on the basis of merits scored.
