Saranathan College of Engineering, Tiruchirappalli (SCE Tiruchirappalli) was established in 1998 by three esteemed individuals - Vidya Seva Ratnam, Guru Seva Mani, and Auditor Sri. K. Santhanam. SCE Tiruchirappalli was named in honor of their beloved Guru Principal Saranathan, who was considered the greatest ever Principal of National College. A self-financing college approved by AICTE and affiliated with Anna University, Chennai, SCE Tiruchirappalli was initially located in the Seshasayee Institute of Technology for about 2 years with the kind permission of Er. G. Sundaram, the Honorary Secretary and Correspondent of the institution. In 2000, SCE Tiruchirappalli shifted to its current campus on the Chennai - Madurai Expressway at Panjappur, spread across a vast 40-acre area, and was formally inaugurated on October 19th, 2000, by the then Minister of Education, Government of Tamil Nadu, Peraasiriyar K Anbazhagan.
SCE Tiruchirappalli offers BE, BTech, ME, and MBA degrees. SCE Tiruchirappalli employs an internet-based admission protocol and the application form is obtainable through the institution's official website. Admittance is executed according to the regulations of the State Government, with selection to specific programs solely based on academic excellence.

SCE Tiruchirappalli has well-equipped classrooms and labs for students to attend their lectures and practical sessions. The campus also has a library that is well-stocked with a collection of books and journals. Additionally, for students who want to stay active, there are indoor games like table tennis, chess, a small gym, and weight training types of equipment. In terms of outdoor activities, the campus has a basketball court, tennis court, football field, volleyball court, ball badminton court, Kabaddi court, cricket ground with both turf and matting wickets, cricket net practice facilities on both turf and matting, a hockey field, and a Kho-Kho court. Moreover, there is a 200 meters track and field available for athletics enthusiasts. SCE Tiruchirappalli has recently added a new cricket ground with a turf wicket. The campus also has a transport facility to help students travel to and from the campus. The canteen on the campus offers a variety of food options for students to choose from. Lastly, there are hostel facilities available for students who prefer to reside on the campus.
The Placement Cell acts as a bridge connecting the corporate sphere and the students of SCE Tiruchirappalli. Through this interface, students are empowered to choose career paths that are well-informed and appropriate for their aspirations. To facilitate this mission, the Placement Cell invites industry experts to come on board and share their knowledge and experience with students through guest lectures, workshops, presentations and informal get-togethers. Additionally, the Placement Cell takes charge of the placement process, starting with summer training opportunities and culminating in final placements. On-campus recruitment processes, including pre-placement presentations by potential employers, are managed and facilitated by the Placement Cell. The students of SCE Tiruchirappalli get placed in companies like Amazon, IBM, Infosys, TCS, Dell, Microsoft, etc.

Admission Procedure
