Sarala Birla University (SBU), Ranchi was established in 2017 under the Sarala Birla University Act of 2017, on a sprawling 60-acre Campus off the Ranchi-Purulia Highway. The self-financed private unitary autonomous University functions to establish new standards for quality education in a variety of fields. SBU, Ranchi is recognised by the University Grants Commission (UGC).
SBU, Ranchi offers 26 undergraduate (UG) and 8 diploma (DIP) courses for students. The UG degree courses are B.Tech in Computer Science and Engineering, Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering, and Artificial Intelligence; Bachelor of Computer Application; BBA in General, Human Resources, Banking and Financial Services and Insurance, Digital Media and Marketing, Retail and E-Commerce Management, Logistics and Supply Chain Management, and Capital Markets; B.Com (Hons) in Accountancy; B.Com in E-Commerce, and Taxation; B.A Hons in English, Economics, and Sanskrit; Bachelor of Performing Arts in Music, Dance, Theatre, and Fine Arts; B.Sc in Yogic Science, and Nursing. The DIP courses that students can pursue at SBU Ranchi are in Computer Science and Engineering, Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering, Electrical and Electronics Engineering, General Nursing and Midwifery, Auxiliary Nursing and Midwifery, and Yoga and Fitness Trainer. Admission Procedure
Sarala Birla University, Ranchi runs an admission procedure for students (co-ed) in undergraduate programmes of B.Tech, B.A, B.Sc, and B.Com, as well as Diploma courses in engineering, GNM, ANM, and Yoga and Fitness training. After passing their 10+2 examinations, the applicants must submit an online application. After passing their 10+2 exam, applicants for the B.Com in E-commerce or Taxation must clear the SBU Entrance Exam. SBU Ranchi offers MBA, M.Tech, MCA, M.A., M.Com, and M.Sc. programmes at the postgraduate level and PhD at the doctoral level. To be eligible for the postgraduate courses, applicants must have completed their three years of study at an accredited university with a minimum cumulative grade point average of 50%. Additionally, the candidate for a PhD programme must hold a master's degree with a minimum GPA of 55%. Based on the performance in an online entrance exam, prior academic standing, and an interview, candidates for the PhD programme will be chosen.
Applicants may apply online from the website. The application form may also be downloaded from the university website and submitted to the information centre of the university together with the necessary paperwork. In order to receive counselling and continue the admissions procedure, they may also stroll over to the university campus and deliver the necessary paperwork to the information centre.

Placements
Sarala Birla University, Ranchi has a training and placement department that guides graduating students through group talks, tests, and interviews, in addition to handling other logistics. Prior to campus placement, the cell hosts seminars and PDP talks to build confidence. The cell conducts both invitations and initiatives to offer students on-campus employment chances in prestigious companies like Aditya Birla, TCS, Earnst & Young, Wipro, and many more. Following a selection process that includes a pre-placement talk, a skill/aptitude/psychometric assessment, a group discussion and a case analysis, and an interview with a group of people, the HR and technical departments, the companies choose a group of candidates among whom they select the one who best fits the job. The company releases the final list of the chosen students in accordance with their selection procedure and the selected student receives the offer letter followed by the joining letter.
