Sam Higginbottom University of Agriculture, Technology and Sciences, Prayagraj (SHUATS Prayagraj) (formerly known as the Sam Higginbottom Institute of Agriculture, Technology, and Sciences) were founded by the Uttar Pradesh Legislature by U.P. Act No. 35 of 2016. SHUATS Prayagraj is formed and run by the Ecumenical Minority Christian Society, namely the Sam Higginbottom Educational and Charitable Society, which is registered in the state of Uttar Pradesh under the Society Registration Act, of 1860. As an ecumenical institution of the Christian Churches and Church organizations in India, the Agricultural Institute was founded in 1910 under the direction of Dr. Sam Higginbottom. SHUATS Prayagraj is an effort made in unison by the Indian Christian community to support rural development and life in line with Christian conceptions of humankind and the natural world. The Christian Churches and Christian Organizations in the nation hold the University in trust as a shared ecumenical inheritance. With students and professors from all over India, SHUATS Prayagraj aims to be a national hub of professional excellence in education and service to the public.
SHUATS Prayagraj offers ample UG, PG, diploma, and PG diploma degrees. SHUATS Prayagraj follows the online admission procedure and the online application form is available on the University website for all academic programs.
SHUATS Prayagraj has a dedicated and trained faculty. The highly skilled individuals with training in specialized fields of agricultural science and technology, many of them have postgraduate degrees and doctoral degrees from foreign universities.
A number of social and recreational activities are planned for students throughout the year, and participation in these activities is always encouraged. On campus, a number of academic groups and cultural clubs support students' entire personality development. SHUATS Prayagraj promotes students' physical and mental well-being by having them participate in a variety of sports and games. SHUATS has basketball, tennis, badminton, and volleyball courts accessible for use. SHUATS Prayagraj also boasts well-kept fields for football, hockey, and cricket, a 400-meter running track, a space for table tennis, and a well-stocked gym. There are twelve dorms at the university, five for male students and seven for female students, including one Women's International PG Hostel. All of the hostels have single, double, and multi-bed rooms available. Students living in the dorms can get a variety of wholesome, hygienically prepared meals in the mess.
The Directorate of Career Planning and Counseling (DCPC) of SHUATS Prayagraj was founded with the intention of assisting students in starting the planning process for their academic and professional aspirations. The DCPC workforce organizes the campus hiring procedures using their experience. They continually set up workshops and seminars with different organizations and businesses so that students may learn more about the latter and get their questions about various job profiles and periodically changing employment trends answered. The office maintains connections with numerous businesses, corporations, and other organizations that recruit graduate and post-graduate candidates from all fields of study through campus interviews. The students of SHUATS Prayagraj get placed in companies like Infosys, Wipro, HCL, Larsen Toubro, Nestle, ITC, Aditya Birla group, etc.
At SHUATS Prayagraj, Scholarships are available for genuine University students with strong academic records and good conduct who come from less affluent socioeconomic backgrounds from a number of organizations such as All India Association for Christian Higher Education, Jindal Trust, New Delhi, Rajya Krishi Utpadan Mandi Parishad, Chaplain’s Scholarship, Yeshu Darbar Scholarship, etc.

Admission Procedure
Sam Higginbottom University of Agriculture, Technology and Sciences, Prayagraj offers ample UG, PG, diploma and PG diploma degrees. SHUAT Prayagraj follows online admission procedure and the online application form is available on the University website for all academic programmes. For admission at SHUAT Prayagraj, candidates shall only be given based on the results of the SHUATS Online Entrance Test (SOET) and the merit-based offline counseling/open counselling. On the day of the open online counselling, a specific Open Online Counselling Portal will be accessible on the university website. The candidates must upload the required documents related to the qualifying examination and fulfilling the eligibility after choosing the academic programme, or they will complete an online undertaking to submit the required documents related to the qualifying examination and fulfilling the eligibility. The candidates will then report to the Office of the Registrar (as per the schedule published on the website) for physical verification of the documents, at which point their eligibility will be checked and their eligibility will be recorded.
