The college campus has a well-stocked library with a rich collection of books, journals, and several other academic resources. The library also has access to a digital library facility where the students can browse through several e-resources. The college campus has course-specific labs intended for the convenience of the students in a better understanding of the subject matter. Applicants to SHC, Kochi are selected based on their merit and eligibility criteria. SHC, Kochi offers Undergraduate courses under the faculty of Arts, Science, and respectively. Aspiring Undergraduate applicants to SHC, Kochi must appear for the Aptitude Test conducted by the College and selection of the applicants are done based on their secured ranks in the examination.Selected applicants are called for interview by the faculty members of the college before the final selection.
Aspiring Undergraduate (BA and BCom) applicants to SHC, Kochi must have passed Higher Secondary examination from any recognized board with any stream. Aspiring BSc applicants to SHC, Kochi must have passed Higher Secondary examination from any recognized board with respective and concerned Science subjects according to their respectrive departments.

The placement cell serves as a link between recruiters and our students. SHC, Kochi's Placement Cell organises Pre-Placement Training Programs. Modules on Current Affairs, General Aptitude, Technical Aptitude, Presentation Skills, Group Discussion Skills, Debate Skills, Interviews Skills & Mock Interviews, Industrial Analytics Workshops, and other topics are included in the Pre-Placement Training Programmes. Training is also proposed based on modern psychometric testing techniques to provide scientific career counselling to students in order to equip them to secure the opportunities available.
Prior to all placement drives organised by the institution, students receive company-specific orientation. Special orientations on international study programmes are organised in collaboration with various agencies for students who wish to study abroad. The placement committee, which includes student representatives and is guided by the placement cell, pools the prospective agencies into a database for each year. Eminent resource persons conduct pre-placement preparation sessions for the candidates. Prospective candidates will be informed of the job details/opportunities (including campus interviews) so that they can apply directly with the concurrence and attend the campus interview process.
