Sabarmati University, Ahmedabad (SU Ahmedabad), located near Vishno Devi Circle in Ahmedabad, is Gujarat's first state-private dual mode university which prioritizes interdisciplinary education and skill development. SU Ahmedabad received its status as a state private university in 2009 under Gujarat Act No. 8, and was further amended by Act No. 20 in 2019. SU Ahmedabad is authorized by Section 22 of the UGC Act to offer and certify degrees to students who have studied regularly on its main campus. SU Ahmedabad is recognized and approved by the University Grants Commission (UGC), Government of Gujarat Gazette, Association of Indian Universities (AIU), National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE), Pharmacy Council of India (PCI), and Bar Council of India (BCI) since 2009.
