Admission Procedure
Rungta College, Bhilai conducts an online admission process to various courses with different specialisations. Rungta College, Bhilai offers courses for diploma, undergraduate, postgraduate and doctoral degrees. Students may log on to the college admission portal for admission details. The admission procedure is carried out through online counseling conducted by the Directorate of Technical Education (DTE), Goverment of Chhattisgarh for Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech), Bachelor of Pharmacy (B.Pharm), Diploma in Pharmacy (D.Pharm), Master of Pharmacy (M.Pharm), Diploma in Engineering, Master of Technology (M.Tech), Master of Business Administration (MBA), and Master of Computer Applications (MCA) courses. For Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA), Bachelor of Computer Applications (BCA), Bachelor of Science (B.Sc), Master of Science (M.Sc), Master of Social Work (MSW), Post Graduate Diploma in Computer Application (PGDCA) and Bachelor of Commerce (Computer Applications) courses, the admission is carried out internally at the institute / college level. Online counselling for Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) and Diploma in Education (D.Ed) are conducted by the State Council of Educational Research and Training (SCERT), Government of Chhattisgarh.
The B.Tech course admission is based on the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) and Chhattisgarh Pre-Engineering Test (CGPET) scores and the Diploma (Engg) admission on the Pre-Polytechnic Test (PPT) scores. Admission to the M.Tech course is done on the basis of the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) scores. For Pharmacy courses, B.Pharm admissions are based on Chhattisgarh Pre Pharmacy Test (GPPHT) scores and M.Pharm admissions are based on Graduate Pharmacy Aptitude Test (GPAT) scores. Students should qualify Common Management Admission Test (CMAT) / Management Aptitude Test (MAT) / Common Admission Test (CAT) / Xavier Aptitude Test (XAT) / AIMS Test for Management Admissions (ATMA) for admissions to the MBA course. Chhattisgarh Pre-Master of Computer Application (PRE-MCA) / National Institute of Technology Master of Computer Applications Common Entrance Test (NIMCET) scores are required for the MCA course, Chhattisgarh Diploma in Education Entrance Exam (PRE D.Ed) scores for the D.ED. course and Chhattisgarh Bachelor in Education Entrance Exam (Pre-B.Ed.) scores for the B.ED. course.
