Royal College of Engineering & Technology, Thrissur (RCET Thrissur) is a renowned institution located in Thrissur, Kerala, India. Established in 2003 as an NRI (Non-Resident Indian) initiative, RCET Thrissur is accredited by NAAC (National Assessment and Accreditation Council) and has a mission to train the youth to become leaders of tomorrow with the right skills, social responsibility, ethical values, and a global outlook to face the challenges of the changing world. The campus, located at Akkikavu, is strategically situated at the meeting point of Thrissur, Palakkad, and Malappuram districts, making it easily accessible by road. RCET Thrissur is approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) and affiliated with the APJ Abdul Kalam Technological University, ensuring that it meets the highest standards of technical education in the country.

RCET Thrissur offers BTech and MTech degrees.  To get BTech admission into RCET Thrissur, candidates must meet certain criteria. They are required to pass the Engineering Entrance Exam organized by the Commissioner of Entrance Exams, Govt. of Kerala (KEAM), and be listed in the KEAM Rank List. The admission process, policy, and procedure for the M.Tech. program are determined periodically in accordance with the guidelines issued by the Government of Kerala, the Government of India, and other regulatory bodies like AICTE.

The Faculty of RCET Thrissur is a dedicated and highly trained team of professionals, devoted to providing students with the highest quality of education. With a range of qualifications and expertise, the faculty is dedicated to creating an engaging learning environment and to helping students reach their full potential.

RCET Thrissur boasts of modern infrastructure facilities that include classrooms, laboratories, workshops, and a language lab. Each department has its own laboratory, department library, project lab, tutorial rooms, and conference halls. One of the highlights of RCET Thrissur is its Central Library, spread over 618.12 sq.m. It houses a collection of 27,800 textbooks, 54 journal titles, and 859 e-journals of delnet. The library boasts a variety of books written by both Indian and foreign authors, with a sufficient collection of over 3000 books. The campus also has excellent sports facilities, including a football court (50x90m2), badminton court (15x7m2), kabaddi court (10x15m2), and volleyball court (12x20m2). Additionally, students can take advantage of a fully-fledged gymnasium and yoga to maintain their physical and mental health. RCET Thrissur has two seminar halls and an auditorium for conducting a variety of events, including guest lectures, seminars, and workshops. Students can enjoy delicious and nutritious food from the canteen or withdraw cash from the on-campus ATM. For students who require hostel accommodations, the college provides separate hostels for girls and boys, ensuring a safe and comfortable environment. To ensure seamless connectivity, RCET Thrissur provides transportation facilities and Wi-Fi connectivity to all students. RCET Thrissur also provides medical facilities and facilities for the disabled.

The placement cell of RCET Thrissur is a dedicated team of eminent individuals who are responsible for overseeing the placement and training activities for the students of the college. The primary objective of the placement cell is to help students overcome any shortcomings or deficiencies they may have in order to enhance their employability and secure meaningful employment opportunities. The placement cell conducts various technical sessions and special workshops, which are designed to address the gaps in students' skills and knowledge. These sessions are facilitated by industry experts who provide valuable insights and guidance to help students develop their soft skills and communication abilities. Some of the areas covered in these sessions may include communication and presentation skills, leadership and motivation, group discussions, team building, reasoning, interview skills, resume making, and mock interviews, among others. The students of RCET Thrissur get placed in companies like Infosys, Microsoft, IBM, Sutherland, TCS, Samsung, etc.
