Ramakrishna Mission Vivekananda Centenary College, Rahara (RMVCC) was established in 1963 and is a part of the Ramkrishna Mission Educational Complex that has developed from the Ramkrishna Mission Boys’ Home, Rahara, ed. 1944. RMVCC was established to commemorate Swami Vivekananda's first birth centenary and to impart a general education in the light of Ramakrishna and Vivekananda's teachings, so that the young students may get adequate opportunities to develop their character and make themselves a well-contributing members of the society. An Autonomous Institute, RMVCC is recognised by the University Grants Commission (UGC).

Students can pursue 6 undergraduate (UG), 5 postgraduate (PG), 1 postgraduate diploma (PG DIP), and 3 doctorate (PhD) courses at RMVCC. The UG courses are for the degree of B.Sc (Hons) in Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Zoology, Microbiology, and Computer Science; while the PG courses are M.Sc in Chemistry, Botany, Mathematics, Zoology, and Physics. The PG DIP course is in Agricultural Biotechnology, while PhDs can be pursued in the disciplines of Botany, Mathematics and Zoology at RMVCC. Applications for admission to all these courses can be submitted online via the official website of RMVCC, and classes are conducted by highly qualified faculty members working tirelessly to impart quality education in an inclusive and wholesome atmosphere.

Campus recruitment drives at RMVCC attract many MNCs every year. RMVCC provides the necessary infrastructural support to ensure the holistic development of the students. The Library at RMVCC has a rich collection of books, journals and periodicals, as well as a digital section which provides access to a host of e-resources. Regular classes at RMVCC take place in spacious multimedia-equipped classrooms, while the practical sessions are conducted in course-specific specialised cutting-edge laboratories. Promoting a healthy lifestyle for the students, RMVCC has a multi-gymnasium and a Yoga-cum-Physical Training Centre for them to access. The Wi-Fi-enabled Campus of RMVCC also has a cafeteria providing healthy snacks and meals at subsidised rates, 2 seminar halls for various academic and social events, as well as shuttle services for the students and staff to avail.

Admission Procedure

Ramakrishna Mission Vivekananda Centenary College, Rahara offers a variety of Bachelor's, Master's, and Ph.D. programs in Science. RMVCCR exclusively accepts male candidates. The application process is conducted entirely online. Candidates must pass a 10+2 science-related exam from any board to be eligible for undergraduate program at RMVCCR
