Rajagiri School of Engineering and Technology, Kakkanad (RSET Kakkanad) was established in 2001 by the Rajagiri Educational and Charitable Trust of the Sacred Heart Province of the Carmelites of Mary Immaculate congregation. RSET Kakkanad is situated in Kakkanad's Rajagiri Valley, which is situated alongside the Chitrapuzha River. The Infopark, the projected Smart City, and Kerala's industrial belt are all around the campus. The University Grants Commission has awarded RSET Kakkanad autonomy beginning in 2020. The parent university of RSET Kakkanad is A. P. J. Abdul Kalam Technological University in Trivandrum, Kerala. The All India Council for Technical Education, New Delhi, has given its approval to RSET Kakkanad.
RSET Kakkanad offers B.Tech, M.Tech, and Ph.D. degrees. RSET Kakkanad follows the online admission procedure and the application can be obtained from the college's portal or from the office. RSET Kakkanad has a dedicated and trained faculty. The mission of the faculty is to provide individuals with cutting-edge knowledge in a variety of technological fields as well as to instill in them a high level of social consciousness and human values, empowering them to meet life's difficulties with courage and conviction.
RSET Kakkanad has a large campus that is 28.73 acres in size. The overall built-up area is 30,996 square meters, of which around 15638 square meters are used for academic activities, 685 square meters for a library, 2,341 square meters for administration, and 12331 square meters for other amenities. The RSET Kakkanad campus is the ideal fusion of the urban and the rural: while the verdant and serene backdrop of the self-contained campus offers the ideal environment for stimulating the academic community's creativity and intellectual pursuits, the close proximity to Kerala's industrial belt, the Infopark, and the proposed Smart City helps to expose the students to the practical aspects of their profession. This guarantees that the graduates of RSET Kakkanad will move smoothly from the university to the industry. With suitable classrooms, seminar halls, tutorial halls, laboratories, and enough space to host all academic activities, all departments have the necessary infrastructure to meet the continuously rising demand. RSET Kakkanad features a fantastic fitness center with cutting-edge exercise equipment.
A Placement and Training Cell of RSET Kakkanad is present in the college and is fully operational. RSET Kakkanad boasts a greater than 95% placement rate, which is outstanding. The Placement and Training Cell develops the students' professional abilities, aids them in choosing the best prospects, and makes them available for on-campus hiring. Since the very first batch of candidates showed up for placements in 2005, RSET Kakkanad has consistently maintained remarkable placement records. The English department and the department of training and placement collaborate to provide soft-skills training, personality development programs, and career development programs. Admission Procedure
Rajagiri School of Engineering and Technology, Kakkanad offers B.Tech, M.Tech, and Ph.D degrees. RSET Kakkanad follows online admission procedure and the application can be obtained from the college's portal or from the office. For B.tech admission, candiates must pass HSC(10+2) from any board. Final selction is based on the marks obtained in the Engineering Agricultural and Medical Common Entrance Test (EAMCET). Candidates for M.Tech admision, must get more than 60% in B.Tech and must score high in the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) entrance exam. For Ph.D. admission, candidates must complete postgraduation.
