PSG College of Technology, Coimbatore (PSGCT) founded in 1951, is affiliated to Anna University. PSGCT is one of the leading institutes of technology established by PSG & Son’s Charities Trust and is located on the same campus as PSG Industrial Institute to facilitate effective interaction between the industry and the institute. The college, from a humble beginning, has today reached a global stage as a premier institution for technology education.
With the quality education that is being imparted along with the industry-relevant technical skills, many alumni of PSGCT have gone on to become successful entrepreneurs and senior executives of industries around India and the globe. Many of them today are holding prestigious titles such as Managing Director and Chief Executive. A college for technological education, PSGCT aims to provide engineering education of high quality and foster a spirit of innovation and research amongst the students. PSGCT offers various undergraduate, postgraduate, integrated, and doctorate degrees. Today the student strength is nearly 8518 and there are more than 505 research scholars. PSGCT conducts admission procedures per the Government of Tamil Nadu's directive. Candidates seeking admission into PSGCT can do so by applying through the college’s official website. For undergraduate courses, candidates seeking admission will be granted only after Single Window Counseling by the Directorate of Technical Education. For postgraduate courses, admissions are done according to Anna University’s norms and Single Window Counseling. Also, admissions for MBA and MCA courses are done per the guidelines of the Directorate of Technical Education (DTE) and counseling procedure. PSGCT has an outstanding faculty under whose guidance the students receive high-quality knowledge and industry-relevant skills.
The constant guidance and support of the esteemed faculty encourage the students to take on new challenges and undertake research and development. The students are guided and evaluated with a vision of taking technology to a new level shortly. The Alumni Association sponsors scholarships for the students. This ensures that any talented candidate due to economic barriers does not get left behind from the opportunity of attaining life-changing education and skills. Apart from the Alumni Association-sponsored scholarship, the students can apply for scholarship programmes sponsored by the Central Government, The Backward Classes and Minority Welfare Scholarship, Adi Dravidar and Tribal Welfare Department Postmatric Scholarship, Sitaram Jindal Foundation Scholarships sponsored by private entities.
The Placement and Training Department of PSGCT has been instrumental in facilitating campus recruitment for national and multinational companies. It strives to ensure the best environment for companies to conduct their recruitment drives smoothly and effectively. The Department aims to enhance the students' placement potential by conducting Pre-Placement Talks, Written Tests, Group Discussions and Mock Interviews. Every year the Placement and Training Department organises workshops and training programs for equipping the students with relevant industry and soft skills. Every year nearly a hundred national and multinational organisations conduct recruitment at the campus and students get placed at organisations like Infosys, ITC, HP India, Reliance Industries, Renault, Samsung India, Siemens, Mahindra, Maruti Suzuki, and many more.
PSGCT offers numerous infrastructural facilities to its students. The library is equipped with nearly 2.5 lakh textbooks, reference books, periodicals, and journals. The digital library contains several e-books, e-journals, e-patents, and online databases. Girls and boys are provided with separate hostels along with a mess facility. The college is wifi enabled and classrooms at the campus are well-designed and equipped with projector facilities. The department-specific labs are equipped with modern instruments required for the practical classes. The auditorium used for various events is spacious and well-furnished. Hygienic, healthy and delicious food is served at economic rates at the college canteen. Students are also provided with 24/7 medical assistance through the college’s hospital facility. PSGCT offers several sporting, both indoor and outdoor, for its students. The campus has one football field, three cricket pitches for net practice and one well-maintained pitch for the matches, three badminton courts- one with a seating capacity of 500 and the other two with a seating capacity of 1000 people each, a volleyball, tennis court and basketball court, and a fully-equipped gym.

Admission Procedure
