Peerless Hospital and B.K. Roy Research Centre, Kolkata (PHBKRRC Kolkata) was established in 1994 to produce health care professionals for the service of society. 

PHBKRRC Kolkata is affiliated to West Bengal University of Health Sciences and has been accredited to National Accreditation Board for Hospitals and Healthcare Providers (NABH). The Medical Council of India (MCI) have also approved PHBKRRC Kolkata as well. Students are helped by well qualified and reliable faculty who are dedicated to providing quality education as well as training.

Undergraduate courses offered by PHBKRRC Kolkata include a 4-year B.Sc Nursing, a 3-year GNM (General Nursing and Midwifery) and a 4.5-year Bachelor of Physiotherapy (BPT) course. Admissions are conducted through online counseling. Candidates are required to meet the eligibility criteria of the individual course in which they are applying for admission. Most importantly, all students must have passed their 10+2 school leaving test from a recognised board of secondary education. Students willing to take admission must appear for the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) and the scores obtained in the entrance test will determine their selection.

PHBKRRC Kolkata offers a range of scholarships and financial aid for needy meritorious students. Besides, students are also provided with stipend internships. Eligible students get internship opportunities during their course period.

The academic amenities offered include a huge library with various kinds of books, well-equipped laboratories for Fundamentals of Nursing, Anatomy, Nutrition, Maternal Nursing, Child Health Nursing, Community Health Nursing, Paramedical and air-conditioned classrooms. Along with the academic facilities, PHBKRRC Kolkata has hostel accommodation and medical facilities.

Admission Procedure

Peerless Hospital and B.K.Roy Research Centre Kolkata’s admissions are conducted through online counselling. To apply for their undergraduate degrees like BPT, GNM, and B.Sc in Nursing, candidates must meet all the required eligibility requirements of the course for which they candidate is applying. The candidate has to go through the admission counselling process for the NEET-qualified candidates. While the admission criteria and eligibility differ from course to course, all students must have passed their 10+2 school leaving test from a recognised board of secondary education. Most importantly the admission takes place when the candidate has a valid score in the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET). The admission depends purely on merit. 

Additionally, the PHBKRRC Kolkata offers a diploma, an M.Sc. in Critical care, M.Sc. in Emergency Medicine, a BHM, and an MHA. A candidate for an M.Sc. programme must possess a BSc. in Critical Care Technology. A minimum of 50% overall in marks is required. A student who successfully completed high school (10+2) will be admitted to the BHM programme through the Common Entrance Test (CET) held by MAKAUT. MHA course, Students with a three-year degree may apply through Joint Entrance Management Aptitude Test (JEMAT), which is run by MAKAUT.
