Netaji Subhash Engineering College (NSEC) was established in Kolkata in the year 1998. It is affiliated with the UGC and Maulana Abul Kalam Azad University of Technology (MAKAUT) and the University of Kalyani.
Netaji Subhash Engineering College offers undergraduate and postgraduate degrees in Computer Applications and IT, Management and Business Administration, Engineering and Architecture and Sciences. It offers a B.Tech, B.Sc, BCA, BBA, M.Tech, MBA and a MCA in the aforementioned streams.

Admission Procedure
The students are required to qualify for the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE-Main) for taking admission to the B.Tech course at Netaji Subhash Engineering College. The students are required to have Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, and Biology as mandatory subjects in their higher secondary. West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination qualification is required for Engineering courses. The admission is merit-based. NSEC is a co-ed institution.
NSEC Kolkata also offers PG level M.Tech, MBA, and MCA courses in a number of disciplines. To be eligible for admission, one must possess a relevant UG degree. Candidates who have passed the West Bengal Joint Entrance Computer Application (WB JECA) or Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) exams are admissible to the M.Tech. and MCA programmes, respectively.
