Established in 2008, Nehru Institute of Technology, Coimbatore (NIT Coimbatore) is a private self-financing technical institution recognized by AICTE in New Delhi and affiliated with Anna University, Chennai. NIT Coimbatore is further recognized by UGC under Section 2(f). Led by the Chairman and Managing Trustee, Adv. Dr. P. Krishna Das and the CEO and Secretary, Dr. P. Krishna Kumar, NIT Coimbatore is continually striving to reach the vision and mission set by its original Founder Chairman, Late Shri. P. K. Das. A part of the Nehru Group of Educational & Charitable Trust, NIT Coimbatore is carrying on the tradition of four decades of dedication to the cause of higher education in the Nehru Group of Institutions.
NIT Coimbatore offers BE, B.Tech, ME, and MBA degrees. NIT Coimbatore follows an offline admission procedure and the form can be obtained from the admission center. Candidates must submit the form along with other necessary documents.
NIT Coimbatore has dedicated and trained faculty. The mission of the faculty is to cultivate inventive and dynamic young leaders in the field of engineering and technology in order to establish India as a knowledge power by improving the teaching-learning process.
The campus boasts 30 well-equipped classrooms, featuring ICT and smart classroom technologies. In addition, there are 32 labs contained within the campus, offering a range of facilities for learning and development. To provide students with the opportunity to enhance their skills, the campus is wifi-enabled. In addition, the library of NIT Coimbatore contains an impressive 27060 books and subscribes to a range of 70 national and international journals. This provides students with all of the resources they need to succeed in their studies. The digital section includes a range of e-library facilities including DELNET, K-Hub, NPTEL, and NDLI. The campus also boasts a range of sports facilities, including a 196020.49 square meter playground, a basketball court, a volleyball court, an athletics track, a kabaddi court, a long jump track, carom boards, chess boards, and table tennis as well as a gymnasium and yoga center. Other infrastructure includes a seminar hall, a cafeteria and food court, an auditorium, and an open-air auditorium, whilst also providing a medical facility, hostel accommodation, and bus facility. As a result, NIT Coimbatore provides its students with a unique learning environment that is conducive to their growth and development, as well as helps them to attain success.
NIT Coimbatore has a distinguished core strength in terms of Placement, with a team of experts under the banner of Nehru Corporate Placement and Industry Relations who work throughout to arrange Internships and Placements for NIT Coimbatore students. Admission Procedure

For UG admission, candidates must pass HSC(10+2) from any board. And for PG admission, candidates must complete bachelor's degree from any university. The final admission will be based on the score obtained in the entrance test conducted by TNEA.
