Established in 2006, with the mentorship of its Founder Chairman Shri P.K. Das, the Nehru Institute of Engineering and Technology, Coimbatore (NIET Coimbatore) has since entered its fifteenth successful year. As a self-financing engineering college, NIET Coimbatore is approved by AICTE New Delhi, affiliated with Anna University Chennai, and accredited by UGC under sections 2(f) and 12(B). These remarkable achievements are attributed to the strong leadership of its Founder Chairman and Managing Trustee Adv., obtaining in addition, overwhelming support from its valued alumni and stakeholders. Notable successes include our alumni securing esteemed employment positions both domestically and abroad, proudly bearing testament to NIET's accomplishments.

NIET Coimbatore offers BE, ME MBA, and Ph.D. degrees. NIET Coimbatore follows an offline admission procedure and the form can be obtained from the admission center. Candidates must submit the form along with other necessary documents.

NIET Coimbatore has dedicated and trained faculty. The goal of the faculty is to continue improving all resources and processes for the betterment of humanity, as envisaged by the great leader Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru, cultivating in the younger generation a sound knowledge in technical and scientific fields, equipping them to meet the challenges of the future.

NIET Coimbatore has a well-designed infrastructure that provides a conducive environment for learning. The campus is spread over an area of 10.56 acres and is located in Thirumalayampalayam, Coimbatore. The campus is surrounded by lush greenery and is free from pollution, making it an ideal place for students to study. NIET Coimbatore has 48 ICT-enabled classrooms, 4 Smart classrooms, 2 drawing halls, 4 seminar halls, and a boardroom. Additionally, the institution has 36 laboratories with the required equipment and software. NIET Coimbatore has a WIFI-enabled campus, enabling students to stay connected and access online resources. The Central Library named PK Das Knowledge Fort covers an area of 30,000 sq. ft. and has a collection of books and journals in Science, Engineering, Technology, Humanities, and Management. NIET Coimbatore has a seminar hall and an auditorium with a seating capacity of 2500, making it possible to conduct large-scale events such as seminars, conferences, and cultural events. It also has lecture halls and common rooms for students to interact and engage in group discussions. NIET Coimbatore has a 10,000 sq.m playing area that includes a football ground, volleyball ground, kabaddi ground, kho-kho ground, ball badminton ground, and basketball ground. The campus also has an indoor sports complex and facilities for gym and yoga. It has a spacious Yoga Hall of 420 sq.m where students can practice yoga and other physical activities. The campus has a Canara Bank with an ATM and a canteen that caters to the food requirements of students and staff. It also has a dispensary room with a medical officer and provides bus facilities for commuting. Additionally, NIET Coimbatore has a hostel facility for students who wish to stay on campus. The hostel has all the necessary amenities and provides a safe and secure environment for students.

NIET Coimbatore has a distinguished core strength in terms of Placement, with a team of experts under the banner of Nehru Corporate Placement and Industry Relations who work throughout to arrange Internships and Placements for NIET Coimbatore students. The Training and the Placement Schedule make sure that a large number of companies visit the campus every year, resulting in a track record of over 85% placement success annually. It is worth noting that some of the Companies where the students of NIET Coimbatore are placed include Amazon, Bosch, Deloitte, Infosys, KPMG, Genpact, Flipkart, Wipro, Capgemini, etc.

Admission Procedure

Nehru Institute of Engineering and Technology, Coimbatore offers BE, ME, MBA, and Ph.D degrees. NIET Coimbatore follows offline admission procedure and the form can be obtained from the admission centre. Candidates must submit the form along with other necessary documents.

For UG admission, candidates must pass HSC(10+2) from any board. And for PG admission, candidates must complete bachelor's degree from any university. Candidates for PhD admission must have master's degree. The final admission will be based on the entrance score conducted by TNEA.
