National Law University, Delhi (NLU Delhi), located in New Delhi, laid its foundation stone in the year 2008. Imparting legal education to bring about social, political and economic change is the major goal of the autonomous university, which has been approved by the University Grants Commission (UGC) and the Bar Council of India (BCI). Dynamic and dedicated faculty members assist students effectively so that they can be able to become professionals in the legal field.

NLU Delhi is a co-ed university which offers B.A LL.B (Hons) undergraduate degree with a duration of 5 years. Students willing to take admitted to NLUD have to appear for the All India Law Entrance Test (AILET). Obtained scores in the entrance test will determine their final selection. They have to apply for admission through the official website of the NLU Delhi. Students are offered a range of scholarships, including Need cum Merit Financial Assistance. Besides, students from financially weaker sections are granted fee waivers. Students are also provided with internship and placement opportunities.

The Recruitment Coordination Committee (RCC) of NLU Delhi put rigorous efforts to get efficient students placed in reputable organizations like Indian Oil, Kotak, and PepsiCo. Apart from this, eligible students get the opportunity to work with Honorable Justice TPS Mann, and Honorable Justice Ranjan Gogoi. A traditional library, a digital library with e-resources, an e-moot court hall, and spacious smart classrooms are among the basic academic amenities offered by the institution. Besides, NLU Delhi also offers separate hostel accommodation for boys and girls; indoor and outdoor sports facilities; a medical room with a nurse, a doctor and an ambulance service; an air-conditioned auditorium; 4 seminar halls; an on-campus ATM; and a cafeteria.

Admission Procedure

National Law University, Delhi offers B.A LL.B (Hons) undergraduate degree for a duration of 5 years and a One year LLM program. The All India Law Entrance Test (AILET) scores are used to determine admission to the undergraduate and postgraduate programmes at NLU Delhi. Students must submit an online admissions application on NLU Delhi's official website based on the qualifying test results. All India Law Entrance Test (AILET) results, document verification, and fee payment are taken into consideration for offering admission to NLU Delhi.

NLU Delhi also offers PhD in law. Candidates must have a Master's degree in law or a professional degree that has been determined by the appropriate statutory regulatory body to be equivalent to the Master's degree in law and have a minimum of 55% marks in order to be considered for the PhD programme. Students with UGC-JRF/AILET credentials will be allowed to enrol in the PhD programme.

Since its inception, National Law University, Delhi has made it a priority to give students as much exposure as possible towards the workplace by requiring them to complete internships with judges, senior attorneys, law firms, international organisations, NGOs, PSUs, corporate entities, commissions, ministries, and state departments. Honorable Justice TPS Mann, Honorable Justice Ranjan Gogoi, Indian Oil, Kotak, and PepsiCo are a few of the organisations and personalities with whom the students have interned. The Recruitment Coordination Committee (RCC) was established with the intention of providing a venue for recruitment interactions between students in the batch and representatives of various organisations in the legal sector.



Scholarships

Based on specific requirements, National Law University, Delhi offers a limited number of scholarships to the students. Some of these include Need cum Merit Financial Assistance to the deserving students provided from "Dr. Santosh Chawla's endowment". The Vice-Chancellor of NLU Delhi grants fee waivers to deserving and financially struggling students.
