National Law University and Judicial Academy (NLUJA Assam), located in Assam, was established in 2009 with the major aim to provide high quality education in the field of law. NLUJA Assam is a government university, which is approved by the University Grants Commission (UGC), Association of Indian Universities (AIU) and the Bar Council of India (BCI).
NLUJA Assam is an autonomous university which holds a faculty having well experienced teaching staff offers an undergraduate course of B.A. LL.B(Hons) with a duration of 5 years. Students must have passed their 10+2 school leaving test from a recognised board of secondary education. Admissions are done through online applications. Eligible candidates must qualify for the Common Law Admission Test (CLAT).
A training and placement division operates a placement process including personality development and communication skills training. NLUJA Assam holds mock tests and practice sessions for the betterment of students. Students are placed in different private, public and government sectors and firms. Placement drives at the university observe the highest package of 15 LPA and an average of 6.5 LPA.
From a well-stocked library, spacious smart classrooms, a moot court, well equipped auditorium to hostels separate for boys and girls, a gym, medical services, on-campus Wi-Fi access and a cafeteria are the basic amenities provided by NLUJA Assam.

Admission Procedure
National Law University and Judicial Academy, Assam’s admissions are conducted through the online application process. To apply for their undergraduate degree - B.A. LL.B(Hons), candidates must meet all the required eligibility requirements of the course for which the candidate is applying. The candidate has to go through the admission portal created for the candidates. Also, the most important part of eligibility is to have qualified for the CLAT (Common Law Admission Test) exam. NLUJA Assamalso strictly follows the CLAT eligibility rules. But, apart from that, all students need to have passed their 10+2 school leaving test from a recognised board of secondary education. NLUJA Assam is a co-ed university, anyone belonging to any gender can apply for the course.
NLUJA Assam also offers one year LLM course and PhD course. A master's degree in law from a recognised university with a minimum grade point average of 55% is required for admission to the PhD degree programme. Except for those who have passed the UGC NET, JRF, SLET, or M.Phil. exams, all applicants shall appear for the admissions test. Admission to the LLM programme will solely be determined by the candidate's performance on the Common Law Admission Test (CLAT).

National Law University and Judicial Academy, Assam has a training and placement division that oversees the student placement process. Students are also given personality development and communication skills training to assist them better prepare for the recruitment process. NLUJA Assam also ensures that the majority of students are placed in various companies by assisting them in whatever manner possible. Mock tests and practise session classes in Aptitude, Quantitative Ability, Logical and Reasoning are also held by NLUJA Assam to help students prepare for the final interview and written test. Most of the students gets placed in various private, public and government sector and firms.
