National Institute of Technology, Warangal (NIT Warangal) was founded by the then Prime Minister Honourable Jawaharlal Nehru in the year 1959. NIT Warangal previously known as Regional Engineering College, was the first to be established among the 31 NITs in India. For providing quality education and technical experience, the prestigious institute has been recognized as a Deemed University.

Undergraduate courses offered by the NIT Warangal include B.Tech in Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Computer Science & Engineering, Metallurgical and Materials Engineering, Biotechnology, and Mechanical Engineering. Students willing to take admission to NIT Warangal have to appear for the entrance test (JEE) administered by JoSAA/CSAB. It is mandatory to have a valid score in Higher Secondary examination from any recognized board. Students have to register for admission through the official website of the institute.

Admission Procedure

The National Institute of Technology, Warangal runs an admission procedure for the students (co-ed) in courses of Engineering (B.Tech) based on the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) via the JoSAA/CSAB portal. Candidates must go to the examination website's official webpage to receive the necessary information and apply. Following their participation, candidates must get the required qualifying marks to meet the NIT Warangal's cut-off to register for the appropriate course, followed by the candidates' final admission procedure with the admission fee payment.

Additionally, M.Tech, M.Sc, MCA, MBA, and PhD are offered by NIT Warangal. Candidates who have passed the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) are eligible to apply for an M.Tech. Candidates must pass the Common Admission Test (CAT) and Management Aptitude Test (MAT) exams in order to be accepted into the MBA programme. Admission to all M.Sc. programmes will be based solely on JAM results. And for PhD course, the candidate must hold a Maser's degree with at least 60% marks in aggregate.
