The National Institute of Technology, Uttarakhand was founded in 2009 by the Ministry of Education under the Act of Parliament.
The NIT, Uttarakhand is an autonomous institute that aims at providing a center of excellence for education and research in technology. NIT, Uttarakhand is a co-ed institution which offers undergraduate courses such as B.Tech in Civil Engineering, Computer Science and Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, and Physics. Students willing to take admission to NIT, Uttarakhand have to appear for the entrance exam (JEE) administered by JoSAA/CSAB. As a part of the eligibility criteria, students must have a valid score in 10+2 board examination from any of the recognized boards.
To make students eligible for placements, the Training and Placement cell of Uttarakhand puts rigorous efforts round the clock. Pre-placement discussions and counselling sessions are arranged by the cell on a regular basis. Admission Procedure
The National Institute of Technology, Uttarakhand runs an admission procedure for the students (co-ed) in courses of Engineering (B.Tech) based on the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) via the JoSAA/CSAB portal. Candidates must go to the examination website's official webpage to receive the necessary information and apply. Following their participation, candidates must get the required qualifying marks to meet the NIT, Uttarakhand's cut-off to register for the appropriate course, followed by the candidates' final admission procedure with the admission fee payment.
NIT Uttarakhand also offers M.Tech and PhD programs. Through Centralised Counselling for M. Tech. Admissions (CCMT), NIT Uttarakhand offers admission to its M. Tech. degree programmes. Admissions are made on the basis of valid Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) scores. Candidates are called in for personal interviews after being shortlisted for a written test based on the necessary qualifications for admission in the Self-SponsoredSponsored Category. Candidates will be selected for a written test based on their eligibility (qualification in Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering GATE, National Eligibility Test NET, or State Eligibility Test SET) for admission to the PhD programme.
