The NIT, Rourkela has a wide range of facilities, including a library with traditional resources like 84,000+ volumes as well as other print resources and e-resources of all kinds that would help the students access any kind of information-based resources.
The campus provides multiple essentials to the residing students in order for them to feel as if they are in a comfort setting, including two hostels for ladies, C. V. Raman Hall of Residence with 700 capacity and Kiran Majumdar Shaw Hall of Residence with 450 capacity, and seven dormitories for boys, Dhirubhai Ambani Hall of Residence with 302 capacity, G. D. Birla Hall of Residence with 322 capacity, Homi Bhabha Hall of Residence with 391, M.S.Swaminathan Hall of Residence with 405 capacity, M.Visweswaraya Hall of Residence with 255 capacity, Satish Dhawan Hall of Residence with 1014 capacity and Vikram Sarabhai Hall of Residence with 1042 capacity.  Every residential facility offers the necessities to the residing students.
The school has a sports complex that includes a stadium named the Dilip Trackey Stadium, which has facilities for outdoor games like football and hockey, the Sachin Tendulkar Cricket Ground, basketball, tennis, volleyball, athletic track, badminton, kho-kho, handball, softball, netball, kabaddi, cross country, and indoor games like chess, carrom, and table tennis, as well as a swimming pool and an indoor gym are all available for the students to have proper break times with proper physical activities.
The institute offers clean classrooms and labs that are specific to each subject for academic objectives in order to uphold the right teaching-learning process.
There are several canteens available to students, including the Calorie Canteen, SLR Canteen, Hexagon, and Campus Cafe, all of which serve a variety of South Indian and North Indian dishes.
In addition, the institute provides various necessities including medical services through its Institute Health Centre, which accommodates visiting medical specialists in fields like medicine, gynaecology, cardiology, and paediatrics.
The campus also provides a transportation facility along with an ATM of the State Bank of India and a post office.
